NFC Divizional Round: Rams at Packers

I tell ya....it'll be a ***** if we get thru the vast majority of the season - relatively unscathed. A few cases - but no widespread outbreaks causing major roster adjustment.

It'll be a ***** (I'll say again....) if a late season pickup walks in the door and screws that up at the most sensitive point of the season.

Yeah I see. But just working for a power 5 college program (albeit not during corona) I just don't see a way you practice and aren't near your position group for less than any allotted time. Especially a group like OL. WR/CB/one on one's I could see.

This is the Packers. They're special :)

He's so new here, it's not guaranteed he was with his position group.  Maybe just an assistant coach, strength/conditioning team.  Tuesday would have been a regular Wednesday practice, so guys were on the field but there's no telling the level of Veldheer's involvement.  I'm sure there is a league standard, but next few days are big for keeping our bubble intact.

We’re in the clear.

About Covid? Not remotely in the clear. Guys could pop here anytime before the game if they got it from JV. If the Packers players and coaches were following correct protocols, then they should be fine. However, we’ve seen what potentially could happen. I won’t stop worrying until gameday and Schefty announces the all clear for the tests.

Zach Kruse -   Packers defense allowed a passer rating of 75.3, had 20 sacks and intercepted 6 passes over the final 6 games of 2020. Rams defense allowed 84.0, had 21 sacks and 4 interceptions. One of these defenses is facing the No. 22 offense, the other is facing the No. 1 offense.

Bill Huber -   Jalen Ramsey stopped DK Metcalf.

And Mike Evans.
And Metcalf again.
And DeAndre Hopkins.
And Metcalf again.
Now, it's Davante Adams.

Looks to me like he plays the "big" receivers well.

I'd say he hasn't faced one like "Vante with his quickness, but you can add Diggs to that list.  He may not be "Vante, but dude is very quick and very, very good.

It'll be fun to watch.

Thought I'd throw this out there as well.

Did you know that Ramsey wasn't even their highest rated corner on PFF?

Ramsey was the 8th ranked corner.

Darrious Williams was 4th.

Troy Hill was the 18'th ranked corner.

(Perhaps a strong pass rush helps the secondary.)

At safety, they have 3 pretty good to great ones.

Johnson is the 3rd ranked safety.

Rapp is 32nd.

Fuller is 33rd.

Their secondary is better than I thought.

He's good. No doubt. Our other guys are gonna have to (either) step up and/or hold their own - not underperform.
