The steelers defensive scheme often revolves around blitzing Hilton from the edge, and he was amongst the best in the league in this domain. I suspect they'll be doing this far less with Sutton as the primary slot guy so we'll see how this influences the defense as a whole. I think Highsmith grading as a better pure rusher than Dupree helps this. If we can win with more 4 man rushes rather than blitzing, Sutton becomes extremely valuable. Losing DB depth always hurts...especially for a team that sucks at drafting them. But we expected to lose one of them. Regardless of his running ability at this point, he is still an exceptionally good pass blocker (do we even have that on this team?) and can still catch passes. He could be insurance that McFarland cant become that third down style guy and puts J. Samuels out of a roster spot. Doesn't stop you from drafting a guy and would limit a rookies need in passing situations. Let’s put this to rest guys 😂 I’m 100% convinced we will not be adding a free agent RB (unless we bring back Conner on a very very cheap 1 year deal). We’ll be addressing RB in the draft.
