Not sure it's as simple as just adding players. The passing scheme is legitimately a hindrance. That bit by Kurt Warner was a solid underscore of something we've all been seeing. It's not just complaining. The routes and techniques these receivers are employing/told to do... it's baffling.

Yeah but having another good WR would help too. Nobody except Hollywood has a chance of shedding their man.

idk if its roman or lamar but it's pretty ridiculous how the bad the offense looks when we play a huge game. Every KC game since lamar took over, 2018 playoffs, 2019 playoffs, this years wild card titans game, and now this game. lamar hasn't been able to pass in any of these games.

personally i believe it's lamar, none of those teams had elite defenses. we roll over teams with better defenses than them every week in the regular sreason. it's like he's the opposite of flacco, just doesn't show up in big games unfortunately.

hard to blame EDC, he gave us an elite defense, and we would have a pretty good OL if not for a ronnie stanley freak injury. Marquise Brown was supposed to be the guy at WR but he hasn't worked out.

Tonight was miserable. my only hope is that EDC takes it as personally as he did last year and actually do something about our dog**** offense.

Our entire offensive system is based around Lamar either a.) creating space for the running backs or b.) scrambling for 10 seconds until someone becomes a little bit open

And yet we will continue to get galaxy brain takes about how a.) Lamar can't do it and b.) it's not 'savvy' to point out our horrible offense and applaud EDC for drafting another nose tackle 4 months from now

Can someone explain why is it that Lamar Jackson who is more mobile than Josh Allen but is far more easier to bring down & sack? It it the Ravens offensive line? When the Ravens apply pressure all I see is Josh Allen scramble to avoid the pass rush and throw to move the sticks.

To answer your question, Allen is bigger, Lamar wasn’t as fast in this game (I’m wondering if the wind made it more difficult for him to really accelerate like he normally does), and because the Bills had us spread out it gives Allen more options to target in the short passing attack off blitzes, with their always being a quality checkdown route if a blitz comes OR if there is no blitz, more targets to eventually find a way open.

Whereas conversely Lamar is smaller, our OL is only mediocre in pass protection, and Roman chooses to either go 2 running back 2 TE sets and run pass plays where the defense doesn't have to account for Ricard or Tomlinson because they’re slow and not playmakers, also having these formations allows the defense to compress the line and have shorter spaces to reach in order for the sack to get home. Whereas if we spread them out, they will at least have to line up spread out before blitzing, giving more time for Lamar to go through his progressions and find the check downs. The more pressure you can put on a defense’s blitz packages, the less likely they will be to blitz as many players and the greater chance the QB has of scrambling for success. Allen isn’t scrambling if we’re blitzing 5-6 men.

So its a combination of physical traits, terrible scheming by Roman, lack of pass blocking talent (mediocre interior and turnstile RT), and Bills overload blizing.
