After what I just witnessed against the Ravens... hard pass on Arthur Smith.

All I will tell you is look at how in-depth his play action passing attack is. They are probably the most dialed-in team when it comes to playing off the play action which is what I am personally big on in this day & age. Mayfield looks like Brett Favre under Stefanski. Smith runs a very high percentage offense & I think it would slow things down for Wentz/Hurts big time if they could actually play in a legit play action/bootleg scheme & actually have easy throws.

Wow, what are the chances Doug Pederson is a head coach next year in the NFL.  I think very high.  Surprised he was fired, got the team their only Super Bowl victory ever, think that at least deserves one more season after a Pandemic, I guess not.

In a vacuum yes, but he had major problems managing his coaches and clearly his QB. It also sounds like the owner and front office lost faith in his offensive playcalling and system and wanted to bring in fresh ideas and Doug wanted to hire from within and really not change anything.

It was only what three seasons ago, they were 7-9 7-9 and 4-11.  Maybe this is their attempt to save Carson Wentz and keep him in the fold or do the opposite and get rid of him.  Still that OL was crazy injured, few quarterbacks could be successful with that group blocking for them, they were missing a ton of guys.  Dillard was out, Lane Johnson, Peters, and the guards were new.  Did Prince Tega Wanogho play at all?  And Jordan Mailata is a massive project OT as well.  So no surprise why the offense struggled with that.  Same with Dallas, they lost the QB but with that OL all beat up and two UDFA at OT on both sides, how can you be successful?

Washington on the other had have a pro bowl guard and some other solid guys who were starters consistently.  Is that the head coaches fault that offensive lineman get hurt?  I guess in the NFL of today, yeah.

I think he’s got a shot, especially with Houston seeming like no one wants to touch it and his connection with the Jets
