But with the Rodgers play in 2020 and giving him a contract restructure in this TCMD, moving on from Rodgers next year is harder. We also have no idea if Love is anything as a backup. 6 hours ago, Nick_gb said: Pretty much this, you're not really getting the ROI you're looking for with pick #39 versus pick #26 there. I think you hold tight or seek a better package. Just not entirely sure this is the move at this moment. You're essentially not trusting your coaching staff to develop him by settling for this offer. Itless about the coaching staffand more about Love doesn't do much in these next few seasons if Rodgers is playing like this. Pick 39 is a nice CB/S/ OL/ WR possible option
vegas492
Hmmm. I'd say taket he pick for Love. You extended Rodgers which makes moving on from him even tougher. We are talking about a kid here who didn't even suit up this year. Now the Rodgers deal makes it even less likely that he sees the field much. Take the pick, draft a QB in the mid to late rounds to be the 3rd QB after Boyle, if you can Boyle back. Which shouldn't be tough. You can do a lot with that pick. Move up with it. Or..I see a OT, WR, CB combo coming our way.
Packerraymond
It's a mock draft so take the pick and have fun with it lol.
Scoremore
That's a big no for me. Having a capable back up is worth a lot more to me than #39. So you trade him pick a player and he busts. Great. Packers saw something in this kid. Groom him behind Aaron for at least another year. Kid could end up being a real gamer. Aaron goes down this kid fills in and plays well we could get a lot more in return. Obviously the Packers saw something in him. Way too early to talk about trading him. There is no guarantee Aaron goes through another year without injury. Smart move to protect against it. Actually don't understand why more teams don't try to do this. Such an important position should always have a guy waiting in the wings. I'd let the situation play out over the next few years and re-evaluate then. Would trading Rodgers for pick #39 after year 1 been a good idea? Similar situation I wouldn't do it. By the end of Love's 3rd year they should have a pretty good grasp on whether he's the guy or not. If not trade him and try again. Mentioned this in the past it might take the Packers a couple bites of the apple to get this right.
Joe
I say trade it simply because it allows us to draft a player that can help us WIN NOW....

JBURGE
Since this is fake, I would take the pick for Love and honestly shop the pick for a WR/DT/EDGE/CB/LB. If we want some win now help use the pick for a vet. Stephon Gilmore? You could also keep the pick and draft a RB in the 2nd to replace Jones.
