Every year is different even with many of same players.  Each season you are a little or a lot different, you never stay same.

Rodgers is playing waayyy better and within structure  is number one thing.    Adams is peaking.   TE has developed big time.   Secondary is playing much better.

Take Bears:

If Mack was playing at his very best and Quinn played as good as he did in 2019 and Jackson and Trevathan played at their very best they ever played  - that defense goes from bad to elite even without Goldman.   Same guys.

But they didn't they played way below their peak.

I would disagree.

I don't agree either.  2019 was pretty blah outside of Monty but otherwise those drafts were pretty good.

2018: Roquan, Daniels, Nichols

2019: Montgomery, Shelley

2020: JJ, Kmet, Vildor, Mooney

Rodgers is having an MVP'ish season but he's always been above average.   Adams has been playing this good for a while now.  TE has developed..who Robert Tonyan?  Ok I'll give you that but he's not super dynamic and more of a red zone threat. Secondary has also been good the past couple seasons.  Like I said again it's pretty much the same team.

Pace getting his second bite at the QB apple.  Look out.  He’s going to trade up to the Jets pick at #2.

Haha don't rule it out. He and Jets GM Joe Douglas are good pals.  Another option is trading for Darnold....

2020 Rodgers is much different guy from recent years.    He is MVP and playing out of his mind like he has only a few times before.   I thought he might be washed up.

So did GB btw hence their draft.

I haven't been on GB forum this year, but ask them.   I bet they would agree with me.

I think Pace is a good drafter overall.

But here are major issues in a nutshell that overshadow all the successes:

  • First and foremost Bears fans will never forgive not picking Mahomes or Watson.
  •  White was an injury bust.
  • Floyd did not live up to expectations.
  • He doubled down on MT with Mack trade taking up needed resources necessary to reboot.
  • He blew Miller and Shaheen.
  • He didn't upgrade O line enough and team suffered.
  • Nagy has not been a good coach in a lot of ways.

Drafting or coaching on that one...Floyd has been excellent for the Rams thus year.

There is no way to know for sure.

But it does speak to my earlier point that staff has not done a good job overall on developing and improving our young talent.

But who picked coaches?  It still comes back to Pace.

No no no no no and mo 😂

Well here's a question..if you have the choice between Mac Jones/Kyle Trask for a 1st or trading a 2nd for Darnold, which are you taking?

Personally I'm going with option 2 and loading up on OL with the 1st round pick.  In this scenario I am also tagging ARob and hoping that Darnold can further elevate his game here under a fresh start.

If I'm Nagy I'm also hiring Doug Pederson to the offensive staff and giving him the title as passing game coordinator and letting him work with Lazor who is more of a running game specialist.

I would takes Jones at #20 all day long...never been a Darnold fan...I would love Pedersen but I reckon he get's the Jets HC job...if you want to talk about why you shouldn't change HC a lot the Jets might be the best example...that franchise sucks.

Rumor has is that Jets are on the verge of hiring Robert Saleh as their new HC.

I thought Pederson would be a shoe in there due to his connections to Joe Douglas but I guess Jets are going in a younger direction.

This tells me that Darnold is expendable.
