I think we do the Mahomes Contract at 10% less a year.

https://overthecap.com/player/patrick-mahomes/5594/

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/patrick-mahomes-21751/

Which would make his cap hit this year somewhere around $22m.

Wanna post the list so our third amigo, @WizardHawk, can take a gander?

ERFA
Ron'Dell Carter, DE

RFA
Cedrick Wilson, WR
Malik Turner, WR
Greg Senat, T
Antwaun Woods, DT

Only interesting one is woods, but I dont know what the offer would cost us.

Booooo. thats @The_Slamman 's job.

🤣 It'll never get done.

Yeah, the only guy on either the ERFA/RFA list I'm interested in is getting Woods tendered. And it'd be for the vet minimum at $850K

@cortes02 => It seems like Njoku has not had a great career. Want to fill us in on what the problem is?

Are there any players not on the block that you might be willing to listen to offers for.

Njoku was drafted in 2017 which was the Year that the Cleveland Browns went 0-16 with Deshone Kizer as the starting QB.  Let me repeat that, "Deshone Kizer" was the starting QB.  The team as a whole was atrocious.  Njoku struggled with blocking at the time and was primarily used as a receiving TE which in actuality is his speciality.  During that season he only had 32 receptions that year for 386 yards but he did lead the team in TD's.  2018 was the year that Njoku broke out due to two factors.  One was Hue Jackson and the offensive coordinator were fired and Baker Mayfield was inserted as the starting QB.  In that season, Njoku was one of Bakers favorite targets coming in behind Jarvis Landry who had 81 receptions with 56 receptions and tied for 2nd in TD's with 4.  2019 was a disaster for Njoku for two reasons.  One was he was injured that year and missed multiple games and two, Freddie Kitchens was named the head coach.  Being put on IR due to a wrist injury wiped out 8 games from the season which hurt his stats.  The issue really became a mystery once he was healthy.  When Njoku was healthy and activated from IR, for some mysterious reason that never has come to light, Freddie kitchens had Njoku in his so called "dog house" and sparingly played him and was rarely put into the game even though Baker struggled massively that year which further killed his stats.  In 2020, The Browns hired a totally new coaching staff and front office.  They signed Austin Hooper to what was at the time the highest salary in NFL history.  Due to this it relegated Njoku to 2nd on the depth chart.  The offense that was used this year for the Browns was more run oriented then in the pass which hindered Njoku and his ability to showcase his talents as a pass catcher.  The one thing that it did do is help Njoku improve on his blocking due to the Browns being in multiple 2 TE sets.

That's the story on Njoku.  In actuality, he is more of a receiving threat as a TE and a match up nightmare for defenses but he has improved with his blocking compared to his rookie year.  Hope this helps.

In regards to players not on the trade block, you are more then welcome to ask about them.

Peace!!!

Is realistic the big goal here? Then I suggest we just go with a 4yr deal, similar to Watson’s with some inflation added to it. I honestly don’t think Dak is signing anything over a 4 yr deal.

I think based on the workbook we have to offer a 5 year deal

5 - $215m - $105 fully guaranteed

More $ per year ($43m) and a higher guarantee % (+2.5)

Something like that?

Its done. We had pay him $38m/yr minimum. So I did 7 year at around ~$39m/yr-ish. Cap hit year one is $22.5m

I am the Contract Gawd. Sign me Jerry, this whole Dak argument would have been done in 2019.
