If I put them into a hyperbolic time chamber for a year to work out and watch tape and study their modern NFL scheme, I’m probably not putting many, if any above Brees at QB. Dude is one of the most accurate QBs we’ve ever seen. In the 50s, he’d be hitting WRs in spots defenders couldn’t imagine were possible. Conversely I don’t think old school players could ever properly adjust to the speed of the modern game. No offense against the yesteryears, but unless I personally witness something, I’m not likely to take it as fact. I’ve witnesses Brees and IMO he’s top 10 of any I’ve ever seen- for now. With a Super Bowl victory on his resume, his chances of entering the Hall of Fame are probably better than most quarterbacks nowadays. But he has been a bit off the last 3 years, too. It was time for him. Should easily be a HOF guy though.
