I am not used to the concept of picking this late in the first round. It’s just so difficult to know what player to even target. I will say though, the focus of this draft better be on defense. We need a boost also by having a guy like Grant Delpit emerge, healthy and making an impact year two. We have enough holes to plug as it is.

We need about 7 starters on defense who can play defense way more than a novelty WR

Ok Akron that was quite a run this year was it not.

ok let’s assume we get

Williams back at 100 percent

Delpit back at a 100 percent

plus he defensive tackle we signed out  Cincinnati

Due we still need need that many defensive players

I am also predicting we sign  Vernon

True, Delpit/Greedy are going to be nice to returnbut they are still largely unproven and given the injury history between Ward/Delpit/Greedy I dont think it would hurt to do a little bit more at those positions just as insurance.

Unless it’s for the vet min. No way I would trust a DE of his age coming off the injury he is. I unless he signs on to be a depth guy and we sign or drsft a legit #2 DE

Kind of agree with this re Greedy.

If he's back, it's a bonus.

But you have to plan as if he will not be a factor.
