The one thing that cannot be replicated as someone who's played football in WI is the field conditions and the ball. Moreso than players being cold, that will be the biggest adjustment. Literally nothing Tampa can do to expose their practice fields to subzero temps, I hope they were freezing their practice footballs this week because that's the only way to replicate how a football gets slick and dense in the cold. It's harder to throw, catch and kick.

That's probably the biggest advantage, practicing every day in the same circumstances you get to play in.

The lolz! The absolute lolz!

Like Rodgers and co are outside ice fishing 10 hours a day and chopping firewood and going on morning jogs without coats? Cross country skiing in their sweat suits!

Like they practice outside 3 hours a day instead of for maybe 45 minutes while everything else is inside?

Like they don't go from their warm house to their warm garage in their NFL player house to their already running warm car? Maybe they have 90 seconds of car to practice facility?

Like they put up and take down their own Christmas lights for 3 hours at a stretch during the playoffs.

Like they spend any real time at all in the freezing cold without hats, gloves, and coats in the few rare occasions they are outside.

You make this sound like they are polar bears against guys in their underwear.  Its pure propaganda.

If this was going to be a 10 degree game and Tamp did not play in DC and Green Bay played in 15 degrees their last 2 games then maybe it would be a big factor.

It all came down the the Packers composure in the 4th quarter because they sometimes got their garbage cans from the street in the cold darkness of early Mondays! 😄

people pretending like they know what's it like to live in a cold city is hilarious

*edit - Ray is right, it takes time to acclimate. By February, 20 degrees feels warm. In October, 40 degrees feels cold. It matters living in it day to day.

The above written by someone who has camped in -30 degree weather and surfed in lake superior in january, and wim hof's. I understand cold.

It absolutely, without question, CAN be a factor if mismanaged by staff.

Weather + Turf Conditions + Fans + Dew factor on the ground that gets to the ball.

Ofcourse they will definitely make the difference.

You know how I know, because we Packers struggle a lot when we play in hot weather conditions and it starts with Oline. So the opposite has to be true as well.

Can you still win in these conditions as a road team?. Ofcourse you can. That’s where the coaching come into picture. Will Bruce Arians like Bill Belichick will go into all the miniature details and prepare the team well?.

We will see tomorrow.

Cold won't be the big factor lol. Packers fans remind me of Bears fans back in the late 80's. Yeah I'm an old guy. Leading up to the 89 playoffs all the Bears fans were pounding their chests because it was going to be below zero at kickoff. But Montana and the 49er's flew in from warm sunny California and whipped their butt's all over Soldier Field. Snow will be a bigger factor. It will negate the speed the Buc's have. Packers play very well on a slower sloppy track. That's what I'm banking on.

Eagles fans were saying COLD and TAMPA all the way up to RONDE!

The cold did not help.

The cold did not hurt the Falcons in 2002 or 2004 either.

  • In 2002 they beat up Green Bay in Green Bay.
  • In 2004 Jim Johnson set up a contain rush so Vick had nowhere to run and Dawk sent Crumpler into orbit.
    • That is what affected them.

Weirdly enough, Brett Favre used to go for jogs throughout Green Bay while completely naked during the snow. 🤷

And yes, it was huge.

Speaking of lolz you should read this quote. Do you not understand how the body adapts to weather? The FACT is the weather does hold a competitive advantage when you’re talking about a Southern team like Florida coming into Wisconsin to play an out door football game. Now, I will say it’s obviously not going to be THE deciding factor but to act as if it holds no merit and is just insane to even discuss is plain wrong.

Lmfao to say the cold doesn’t matter and reference the Falcons game against GB that was played in September is laughable. HUGE difference in temperature in a game played in September and a game played in end of Jan.

PS they didn’t beat up Green Bay either they won by a FG in OT

Seriously, stop it.
