Not thrilled with the rankings, Mienerz being just one of the oddities.

On that board the obvious first pick is Creed Humprey.

J

I'm not a big fan of Humphrey in our offense tbh.

In no order I'd rather go with: Rousseau, Paye, WR Marshall, WR Toney, LB Collins, or maybe another OL that falls. The drop off in C won't be much, if any, if we wait til the 2nd or 3rd. There's no big can't miss C in this class.

WR:

3 Ja'Marr Chase LSU
X Jaylen Waddle Alabama

11 DeVonta Smith Alabama
X Rondale Moore Purdue
25 Rashod Bateman Minnesota
35 Terrace Marshall LSU
50 Tylan Wallace Oklahoma State
54 Kadarius Toney Florida
68 Amon-Ra St. Brown USC
80 Marlon Williams UCF
92 Anthony Schwartz Auburn
95 Dyami Brown North Carolina
97 Seth Williams Auburn
101 Dazz Newsome North Carolina
104 Damonte Coxie Memphis
108 Sage Surratt Wake Forest
125 Ihmir Smith-Marsette Iowa
137 Damon Hazelton Missouri
145 Amari Rodgers Clemson
149 Nico Collins Michigan
153 Tyler Vaughns USC
175 Brennan Eagles Texas
191 T.J. Vasher Texas Tech
192 Josh Imatorbhebhe Illinois

Probably one of the bigger needs. More so than DE in my opinion. The Chiefs have Hill and Hardman, whom I don't trust to be a real #2. After that there's a plethora of no names (for me) with Ray-Ray McLoud leading the pack. May be samsel is able to add an older vet or two in FA - but probbly noone to write home about. The first three on the list are definitely out of reach, even Marshall I've seen much higher.

CB:

6 Patrick Surtain II Alabama
8 Caleb Farley Virginia Tech

13 Jaycee Horn South Carolina

23 Asante Samuel Jr. Florida State
41 Tyson Campbell Georgia
49 Greg Newsome II Northwestern
55 Elijah Molden Washington
61 Shakur Brown Michigan State
65 Shaun Wade Ohio State
73 Ifeatu Melifonwu Syracuse
102 Paulson Adebo Stanford
105 Aaron Robinson UCF
110 Israel Mukuamu South Carolina
117 Eric Stokes Georgia
129 Rodarius Williams Oklahoma State
131 Keith Taylor Washington
135 Olaijah Griffin USC
156 Darren Hall San Diego State
159 Thomas Graham Jr. Oregon
160 Shemar Jean-Charles Appalachian State
164 Marco Wilson Florida165 Trill Williams Syracuse
170 D.J. Daniel Georgia171 Camryn Bynum Cal
181 Benjamin St-Juste Minnesota185 Kary Vincent Jr. LSU
199 Robert Rochell Central Arkansas

Patrick Surtain, Asante Samual .. where did I hear those names before. Do bad they'll be gone when the Chiefs pick. After bringing in Dre Kirkpatrick the need for more players at CB isn't as urgent as before but West and Fenton are on the last year of their contract. And there definitely are upgrades on a Ward - Fenton - Sneed lineup possible. At minimum if you lok at next year .. (I know, rather irrelevant for TCMD right now).

OT:

2 Penei Sewell Oregon
14 Rashawn Slater Northwestern
18 Christian Darrisaw Virginia Tech

24 Samuel Cosmi Texas
38 Alex Leatherwood Alabama
44 Jalen Mayfield Michigan
71 Jackson Carman Clemson
77 Liam Eichenberg Notre Dame
84 Dillon Radunz North Dakota State
87 Walker Little Stanford
96 Teven Jenkins Oklahoma State
148 Spencer K. Brown Northern Iowa
174 Alaric Jackson Iowa
176 Tommy Doyle Miami (OH)
180 James Hudson Cincinnati
187 Adrian Ealy Oklahoma
195 Brady Christensen BYU

We brought in Leno to shore up the bookends, but with Leno, Remmers and the unknown Niang ... well, there is a bit of uncertainty at this position - especially if you look at depth as well. So probably a position we should not rule out to address early. In the ranking above there's another oddball ... Teven Jenkins. I've seen him everywhere from 1st to 4th round, but recently he seems to establish himself as the #5-8 OT, projected somewhere in the 2nd half of the 1st or early 2nd round.

LB:

10 Micah Parsons Penn State
22 Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Notre Dame
31 Nick Bolton Missouri
36 Zaven Collins Tulsa
46 Dylan Moses Alabama
52 Jabril Cox LSU
69 Cameron McGrone Michigan
75 Chazz Surratt North Carolina
99 Baron Browning Ohio State
100 Ronnie Perkins Oklahoma
120 Pete Werner Ohio State
127 Charles Snowden Virginia
140 K.J. Britt Auburn
141 Monty Rice Georgia
144 Paddy Fisher Northwestern
190 Amen Ogbongbemiga Oklahoma State

A wild mix of Linebackers. The depth chart shows Wilson, Hitchens and Gay as starters, with Whitehead and DoD behind them. Then it's down to Harris, Cobb and Smith. I'm not sure I see a need to adress this position really early from a need perspective (at least not with the same urgency as WR or OC) but improvement is possible (and added depth a need).

Ok, done .. all eight positions I'm aware of being discussed as needs presented. Now .. gimme two players at each position you'd consider drafting round one who might realistically be available ... and let me know the need factor you put on that position. If you skip a position I'll accept 3 players at another position.

For the first two days, ignore CB as an option. I highly doubt one slides in any event.

Really bad WR rankings and some are omitted completely, eg Rondale Moore. Fortunately for us, we need a complimentary WR, rather than a HR threat. One thing to look for is blocking, since that is where Robinson excelled. That sort of WR is available into day #3.

Same problem with the OT rankings. Some Senior Bowl standouts are not even on the list. I would love a shot at Mayfield, but #44 is unrealistic.

LB leaves out the Edge types, which is OK. I like that they have McGrone higher than Browning, but overall this is not a good off-ball LB draft and the rankings don't show that.

Here's the actual Draft Board,    though you won't be able to filter or change anything in it.

WR:   Rashad Bateman -   Is about the only one with a reasonable shots of falling that I would take.

Edge:  Ronnie Perkins,  Kwity Paye, Azeez Ojulari.      I wouldn't mind in the first,   there's a ton of DE's around the same skill level in this draft though.   Some will fall.

LB:   Micah Parsons and Zaven Collins are the only 2 I'd spend a 1st Rounder on.

IOL: Wyatt Davis and Alijah Vera Tucker,  are the only 2 I'd spend a 1st Rounder on.    Humphrey would be closer if we played a different style

OT:  Christian Darrisaw, Rashawn Slater, Samuel Cosmi.    Are probably the only 3 I'd spend a first rounder on,   there's 2/3 others that are close though.

I'm not against CB,   if it is the very best player on the board.   I don't think it's a big need though.

We still got a ways to go,   I'll shoot over the players take once we're around 10 picks to go.     I'm still checking offers for a trade down/trade up.. but likely won't hear much till we get closer.

WR

35 Terrace Marshall LSU

OL

18 Christian Darrisaw Virginia Tech
24 Samuel Cosmi Texas
44 Jalen Mayfield Michigan
71 Jackson Carman Clemson
77 Liam Eichenberg Notre Dame

LB

10 Micah Parsons Penn State
36 Zaven Collins Tulsa

I think Parsons/Collins is my top choice if they're there. The WR and OL depth are pretty good in this class. But I'd have no problem going that way.

EDIT: Just saw that Alijah Vera-Tucker wasn't listed. I think he may be our target for real in April. I'd be good taking him at 31.

How high would people trade up for Darrisaw or Bateman?   or any others people would have interest in moving for?     I typically only trade down,   but I think we have the ammo to move around if needed.

I think the board looks good for us atm. Maybe see what it looks like at 20.
