RedGold
I went with CB Robert Rochell, I think he has the highest upside of the cb’s left

Would be curious to see everyone's thoughts on him. I like him. Similar to Dante Sills I think it’s hard to project him on the team. Jones and Wharton, plus our DE’s on the inside. I think we have a plethora of pass rush from the interior. We could use another guy like Nnadi though. Jury is still out on what Saunders is a spose

RedGold
I think we’re dying off. Sorry not much time today, didn’t even realize we had a pick. I took S Tariq Thompson, I think we all wanted a safety and J mentioned him
onejayhawk
Don't apologize. You did a great job and it's a lot more work than I want to take on. If you want someone to push Watts and Do'D, TT is the guy. KC_Guy
Well, I'm lost .. no clue who's left. Well, namewise I can see it ... but who could help? no clue. Obviously we were pretty active in low level FA when the roster is full prior to the UDFA phase. But also there: many names I really heard the first time. Overall it was fun to discuss things and learn a bit about draft prospects. Resultwise I'm not happy with the OT situation unless Niang really steps up and takes over a starting spot. Don't think Remmers is anywhere close to a solution. Same coiuld be said about the DB situation, but the late addition of Trae Waynes helped a lot here. In terms of deoth I think we should be fine although I'd expect a lot of movement on the back end of the depth chart. So .. now let's get into the serious stuff ... real life free agency will be upon us in less than a week ... well, the tampering period. RedGold
Here's a recap that I wrote, if you want to read. I hope you all had fun, it was a nice way to get skip the time frame between Super Bowl - FA. Pete and BDP are both doing separate draft only offseasons right now, if anyone's interested. I need a break though haha. Inspired by Squire, I figured I'd show our work for 2021 as much as 2020. Veach really put all his eggs in the basket last year, and really killed our depth chart for 2020 with alot of 1 year deals. 2020 Goals *Create cap flexibility without Restructuring contracts - The trading of Fisher/Schwartz was tough, but it was much needed cap space. - Extending Tyreek and Tyrann. Both excellent values for what they provide the team. * Shore up the losses of Fisher/Schwartz - Charles Leno has done a decent job protecting the QB's in Chicago, we feel with Mahomes it will only improve. - We felt confident in Mike Remmers, aside from the Super Bowl. He did an above average job at RT. We like the upside of Lucas Niang so putting a ton of cap space into an immediate starter didn't make sense. * Bring in youth along the OL. It's one theory Andy only likes to play veterans on the OL, it's another that we haven't given him much young talent to get PT. - While we didn't get any of the top guys along the OL, we felt we got excellent value with all our draft picks on the OL. Quinn Meinerz, Jaylon Moore, and Josh Ball will be a nice injection of youth to go along side Lucas Niang and Yasir Durant. Niang and Meinerz will immediately push for PT, Jaylon Moore and Josh Ball will compete for a swing tackle role. Our initial thoughts are; We solved 2 starting positions for the future with Meinerz and Niang. Josh Ball has talent, but we suspect he will only be a Swing Tackle for the future. * Keep the course on D, and add starters for the future. - I thought we'd lose more, our defense isn't special but they are above average. Going into 2021 the only loss we have on the defensive side of the ball was Bashaud Breelend. Going into the draft, we felt we should focus on getting guys to replace high cap hits. Carlos Basham and Cam McGrone will start in reserve roles, but should push Frank Clark and Anthony Hitchens to live up to their paychecks. Our main focus would be to retain 1T Derrick Nnadi. With a resigning of Nnadi. Starting CB, Starting G, Future LT, Backup RB. Not a ton of holes, Locking up Nnadi and Extending Juan Thornhill would be at the top of how we would use our cap space. Draftwise: DE, T, and CB would be high priorities. Any other needs would likely be depth players. Other players that could be cut, to free up space/or replaced by 2022 draft pick. onejayhawk
We have one pick left, in the seventh round, which is dragging. I suggest Khalil Herbert, RB if he lasts. He's one of a number of bigger backs left, but better than most in space. He's a North/South runner who would push Derrell Williams. KC_Guy
Well, the real world Chiefs found a different solution ... but is it fair to wonder what would have happened had he been released earlier? 😄 Edited May 3, 2021 by KC_Guy
