LOL I know looking at it,  I kept think Chief Reject, Chief Reject, Chief Reject.  Yet,  I think those would be some of the best options.

TE is Death Valley. We could grab Ross Travis, to get another Travis at TE, and it would make as much sense as any of the others.

I agree that you need to lock up Reiter, because the alternative is to draft one at #32. I like Kilgore, but he's 33.

TK is a no-brainer and Remmers is required with Schartz moving on.

Hold off on doing much research.   Mike is reworking some of the calculations on APY.    I'll get an updated list as soon as I have the final workbook.   Some of the APY's are going to change for all players.

**  Also the Schwartz deal may not be final,    I took the PM from the Giants... thought it was the main GM,  but it wasn't.   Mike is running the Giants and just hasn't had time to do much in terms of deals (that's my bad,  I just figured Mike had enough on his plate and wasn't running the team this year).   It's not dead,  but might not be as official as I thought.

Now that Mike is done with the books;  this is the final Schwartz deal.

Chiefs Receive:   4th (115),   6th(197)

 NYG Receive:   5th(176), 6th(216)

We don’t get the extra pick,  but that’s a 61 and 19 point jump.  Puts Schwartz value as a mid 4th, which is about right.

So if I get this right and assuming the second Schwartz deal, we have:

40 players on the roster
5 re-signs via tenders
1 trade-off
9 draft picks

That leaves us with 53 slots filled post draft, of which 52 are already accounted for (the additional 7th round pick is not but will drop out of the top 51 anyway).

Available cap thus should increase by the Schwartz savings (6.255 M$) plus 660 k$ for cheapest guy on the roster dropping out of the tally.
If I get it right that should leave us with 14.935 M$ right now.

Each additional signing will create a cap hit of 660k$ less than the individual cap hit of the player, as one player from the end of the roster will be pushed out of the top 51.

Those deals aren't terrible but we could trade Mitchell Schwartz for a WR maybe. Would rather get a vet WR than move up 20-30 picks to bet against Schwartz having a rebound year.

This is why I liked the Williams & 6th - Washington deal. He would provide us with a somewhat proven potential 3rd/4th receiver at a budget price.

Looking at FA and the rules. Re-signings first. One of the four bids per round has to be placed on one of our own. Three more bits can be placed elsewhere or on own players.

Veteran Minimum Salary is 990 k$ (4-6 years) aand 1,075 k$ (7+ years). Veteran Salary Benefit (VSB) contracts  will count 850 k$ against the caop, however, I'm not sure TCMD will accept that kind of contract.

The players:
RB Le'Veon Bell:     5/ $5,080,482 - no thanks
FB Anthony Sherman:  2/ $1,246,875 - wouldn't mind having him back but not at this price. So let's wait a round or two.
TE Ricky Seals-Jones:   3/ $971,250 - no thanks
WR Demarcus Robinson:  7/ $2,412,375 - wouldn't mind having him back but not at this price. So let's wait a round or two.
WR Sammy Watkins:   7/ $16,800,000 - no thanks. Not worth anything close to that price and won't last until Round 8 of bidding
LG Stefen Wisniewski:  2/ $1,080,000 - someone to consider
LG Kelechi Osemele:   3/ $1,246,875- someone to consider
C Austin Reiter:   6/$3,265,144 - I'm torn. Don't really like him but how to replace him? So let's wait a round or two.
C Daniel Kilgore: 2/$1,273,406 - wouldn't mind having him back but not a priority early on.
RG Mike Remmers: 3/ $2,766,478 - someone to consider
DE Tanoh Kpassagnon:  4/ $1,443,680 - someone to consider
DE Taco Charlton:  4/ $920,000 - wouldn't mind having him back but not a priority early on. If KPass returns we don't need him now.
DT Mike Pennel: 5/ $1,099,875- someone to consider
LB Damien Wilson: 5/$4,593,750 - wouldn't mind having him back but not at this price. So let's wait a round or two.
CB Bashaud Breeland: 6/ $9,337,964- would love having him back but not possible at this price. So let's wait and see.
CB Antonio Hamilton:  7/$1,099,875 - an afterthought
S Daniel Sorensen: 5/ $13,644,269- would love having him back but not possible at this price. So let's wait and see.

So ... Round 1 I'd go:

Bids on KPass and Remmers at the listed price, totalling in roughly 3 M$ in cap if successful.
Minimum reserve bids on Osemele, Pennel, Wisniewski and Robinson unless you re-consider the Washington deal.

Assumption is that those contracts are without any guarantees, so we can release them without cap implications if other options (especially draft) come on.

Wonder if we should have a look at Demetrius Harris again at listed price plus 7% to outbid a Chicago reserve bid at minimum.

Didn't check for other teams' FA other than the few samsel listed above yet. Is there a complete list of Free Agents? Didn't find one ...

Had a look at potential trades for Damien Williams (whom I'd still like to keep - but that's a different story):

WR Allen Hurns (MIA). Opted out of 2020, may be a #3 or #4. No clue about a asking price.
TE Darren Fells (HOU). Reliable but older vet (age 34). Asking price is player or 5th rounder.

Both would be possible from a cap standpoint, probably even save a dime or two.
