Phire Posted July 27, 2017 Author Share Posted July 27, 2017 I remember when we were pretty much all convinced Ertz would go OFF in Chip's offenses... but then he pretty much split time with Celek because Celek was a much superior blocker. And as much as I'd want to see Ertz actually LOOK for the contact instead of shying away and falling down after a catch, that was all Leodis taking horrible technique more than it was Ertz powering through. Ertz just got a little lower pad level on Leodis and he just got stuck in between. Basically Leodis made Ertz look beasty there. But point is, Ertz has to realize he's bigger than everyone in the secondary and can man handle these guys. I've watched a decade of Witten taking gang tackles 5 yards further after first contact.
