Refugee
A very sad day. The loss of someone who spent his whole adult life as part of the game. He was part of the continued renaissance of the team and will live in the pages of team history.
Leader
Aaron Nagler - Win it for Ted. Peter Bukowski - Rest in peace to one of the most important figures in modern Packers history. Ben Fennell - Awful news. Sad day for the Green Bay Packers organization, fan base, community... but also a sad day for anyone ever involved in scouting. Few people as committed & dedicated to the scouting community as Ted Thompson. He lived and breathed football. A legend... Absolute legend. incognito_man
Too young He did a LOT for this organization and in life. Never deserved the level of criticism from the mouth-breathers he got. He will be remembered fondly.
incognito_man
Would be cool to see a TT tribute or patches or something in the Super Bowl
Gopackgonerd
RIP Ted, this was so sudden. He was a great GM despite what some might say about the way he did things. But he has built great teams together, brought in and drafted amazing players that helped us win. And to this very day we still have great contributors on this team that he drafted. Adams/Clark/King/Bakh/Linsley/Jones/Williams/Lowry/Crosby and our HoF QB Aaron Rodgers. Ill miss him. Let's win that Lombardi for him!! Thanks for all you did for the Packers organization. Yeah, we knew part of the reason he retired was due to his health and from his pressers you could just tell something wasn't right. Was hoping his health would pick back up after he stepped away and didn't have to deal with the day-to-day responsibilities of being the GM. HyponGrey
On the brighter side, he can scout every single prospect from above now. He'll enjoy that. Thank you, and rest in peace.
Arthur Penske
Damn. That's sad. I loved that dude as GM and a person. However, Its not really sudden as some have implied. It was well known he was in a major health decline.
deltarich87
Aaron Rodgers Davante Adams David Bakhtiari Corey Linsley Lucas PatrickAaron Jones Jamaal Williams Robert TonyanKenny Clark Kevin King Mason Crosby Dean Lowry 6 of the teams best players are Thompson picks. Crosby is one of the most reliable kickers in the league still, and Tonyan is starting to emerge as one of the better TE's in the NFC.
