Lurie has repeatedly said throughout the process that interviews are 33% of the process. Lurie obsesses over people with great backgrounds and character. Eric has a bad history and I could’ve told you that Lurie wouldn’t be interested in him for the coach. He praises culture.

Yet they spent like 12 hours with McDaniels......

 Because that makes sense

They also had to wait to do in person interviews and just fired the coach that preceded him in KC.

I don’t know why this has to be National Treasure. We don’t need the Free Masons to show us why they were fine skipping EB.

EB made no sense to be the coach here.

This is about as good of a hire as I could've expected tbh. A young offensive coach who is smart, hard working, and learned under Reich in San Diego and Indy.

First post started off good, but then.....

Then don’t fire a SB winning coach if you aren’t going to get somebody good to replace him. I would’ve rather Kellen Moore, Josh McDaniel’s even, Saleh, smith, Staley chargers coach , Daboll, Kafka. The way we handled this so we were late on interviews was terrible.

You're still on about that? It's clear that Doug was inept. Sirianni is immediately a more competent individual than Doug. To say that you'd rather have McDaniels than Sirianni more or less tells me all I need to know about your outlook.

Saleh wasn't an option for us, neither was Staley. Daboll rejected us. IDK what to say about Kafka or Moore. We don't know if they were seriously on the table or not. They could've backed out perhaps. Moore would have been a solid hire. Still don't like going back to another Andy Reid underling after Pederson with Kafka, but hey we could still offer him OC perhaps.

Just reading back through some old posts in this thread, and it feels good to be right.
