HeresAGuy
He’s the safe bet, he does good hard work. King is a disaster that gave up a play that will live along with 4th and 26 lore, Jones is gonna cost too much. Linsley is the safe bet. Keep that line going. king now lives with Bostic in the Packers anti hall of fame
FAH1223
I agree. We gotta keep Corey. He's so damn good and he's in his prime.
incognito_man
This was always the obvious move, even before today.
pacman5252
Pragmatic buzz killer speaking, we shouldn’t pay corey. 30 year old interior lineman are bad investments especially with our cap situation. Look at how quickly Lang and Sitton dropped off. 50% chance he’s out of the nfl in 2 years. As much as it sucks you wish him well and take the 4th round comp pick. The play is Runyon, Jenkins, Patrick on the interior. Then maybe like Taylor on a cheap rehab deal/mid round pick. You can manage with that.
skibrett15
I think the more obvious move is to start wagner at RT, move jenkins to center, and let billy turner go back to guard. Linsley is getting into that 3rd contract risk period as he ages into 33. Keeping linsley is safer though
dust247
What kind of contract is Linsley looking at? 3 years? 30M?
incognito_man
You pay him. This OL was the engine of this offense. You keep this OL in front of your aging Rodgers without question. Linsley is elite and there's no reason he won't be for another 2-3 years where'd he be seeing the bulk of his new money.

Going to come down to finding the cap space. 30M over 3 years is probably the rough market. Cap hots of 6/ 9/ 15 is about it.
AlexGreen#20
This was like his worst game of the year?

Could be center or LG. Runyan, Patrick, Taylor, some of the DP from 2020 or a DP from 2021 if you can hit on an IOL. It is not ideal to start, but it is serviceable. I also am not sure that Bahktiari won't be back to start the seaosn. He will have 9 months. He doesn't need the speed and high velocity COD skills like a CB, WR or skill position. Needs anchor and foot speed which he can be working on by 4 months.

Just depends on what kind of contract he's expecting. $10M/year is probably the minimum for him. $12.5M would make him the highest paid C tied with Ryan Kelly. Ironically, think J.C. Tretter is probably the deal that's the parallel. 3 years, $32.5M with $6M signing bonus and $14.5M GTD. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/jc-tretter-12403/ Essentially a 2 year deal, $20M deal. MIA could use a C and has the cap space to make a run at Linsley. LAC also
