signing didnt make any sense. Glad Moreau will see more time on the field in '21.

Only way it makes sense to me is if they signed him as an insurance policy if Moreau's rehab took longer than expected.  I think Moreau will be better than his rookie season though and provide a red zone threat that we really needed this past season.

yes, thats true. Even then we had Carrier, but we all know Gru loves his TE's. I didnt mind Witten as a mentor, it only bugged me when it was clear Moreau was fine and still was taking a back seat to Old Man Witten.

Well its over now.  I really think Moreau is going to be a great player for us too.

I said From the minute it happened the cost was way to high and he wouldn’t do much on the field.  And he did even less than I expected... actually far less then I expected.  I get bribing in mentors to help young guys, especially Waller, to learn professional and the fine points of being great..... but i Seriously doubt that any player can help vastly more than a coach.  He should have just been Made Asst TE coach and saved us 3.5M and we played Moreau more.

The loss of Frank Smith is a big big loss as far as positional coaches go.  Hopefully we can replace him with a quality coach.  Maybe its Witten, but if not there’s other options.

Yes this is what I said early in the season. Doesn’t explain why Witten continued to see more snaps when Moreau looked back to his best though.

Greg Olsen retired too so Gruden wont be tempted to replace witten

It's crazy to me that Greg Olsen was drafted in 2007. Raiders took Zach Miller a few picks later, a good TE. Miller has been out of the league since 2014.

Amazes me how long some guys can go
