That is a creative solution for Noteboom, and if that’s all it would take to get Minshew, I’d be all for it.

Not sure we will have the cap space to get Jonnu, with what we have already allocated to Higbee, but he would be a nice weapon

I like Surratt a lot, he would be nice to pair with Kiser

and the only real draft stretch is probably Toney (probably Werner as well). I’ve seen some put Toney in the First round, I disagree with that, but it’s hard to see him making it to Pick 100+

I would hope we could get Minshew straight up for Noteboom. Toney is gone way before the third round. Werner is likely drafted on Day 2. And we don't have the money for all those FAs. I also don't understand why we'd sign Mack. Akers and Hendo seem like a good duo to me.

Here you go again with all your pre combine/draft day absolute predictions where people will fall. I've done many draft simulators and as of now they are there so that's what I'm going with. I remember you were dead set on that one DT wasn't going past 2nd and he was like a day 3 guy.

Toney has straight up clowned dudes this week at the Senior Bowl. You're mocking us to draft a WR who is getting first round projections with the 39th pick of the 3rd round. Can I guarantee Toney will go much higher? Of course not. Nobody can say with certainty what will happen. But what's the point of these things if you aren't sticking to guys who are LIKELY to be available in that round (at least based on what we know now). Hell, I could mock us Kyle Pitts in the second round, but we both know barring some extremely unforeseen event, he's not going to be there.

Ok, Tim Settle. Lol. I get your point. I didn't dig deep enough in the evals like you did. Remember saying pretty much the same about the DT listed above? LMAO. I was the one putting him in 4-5 rounds and you mocked me for that. Saying he was a 1st round guy and wasn't going past 2nd? LMAO.. Also, Pete Werner still might be available in 3-4. That's still a possibility. Sorry I slipped on Toney. Lol. I mean, there's several WR who have high first round grades at the moment and there's a thing called team needs..never know how it shakes out.  Did we think Cooper Kupp was going to be available in 3rd?

And if you'll note, I said Werner is LIKELY drafted on Day 2. There is a scenario where he falls to Day 3. Toney is a different story. The only scenarios where he falls that far involve something very problematic in his character check or an injury. With the week he just had at the Senior Bowl, I think it's unrealistic to mock him to us at the end of the third round. I certainly can't tell you what players will fall. There are always some who unexpectedly fall on draft day, but Toney falling that far seems like wishful thinking. There's no need to get so defensive.

noted. again, my bad.  I need to do better digging into on these players like you did.  I wasn't aware he was getting so much attention. There's a handful of WR I have rated above him which is why I didn't think it would be farfetched to have him around 100 pick range.  He's very explosive and it seemed like a steal there in the 3rd.  Hopefully my future drafts will work out their kinks.

I also really like Tuf Borland on day 3 if Werner isn't here. Both were HUGE for Ohio St. defense.

No worries. At this point in the process, I think we're all struggling to guess where players will go. It's hard to have much certainty until April. And even then, there are always some guys who unexpectedly fall. I like many of the players in your draft. I'd be very happy if we found a way to get them.

absolutely! I enjoy doing these and while doing so I learn more about players.  Such as Toney, haha.  It's really hard in the beginning to guage where all these guys will fall.  Like i said, as we get to see more evaluations  ( pro day, combine, etc ) and as we see more movement with FA/trades we'll get a much better feel and the mocks will become more accurate and realistic.
