BStanRamFan
This is a hefty price to pay, but it's what was needed to move Goff's contract. Lions had multiple offers with 1sts this year and manage to satisfy Stafford and themselves in the process. I dont care about the 1sts because we've proven success without them. Goff needed to go. We are now top 3 odds to win the Superbowl because we were a QB away. Get excited Rams fans cause we're now a notch above. Need to hope SF doesn't pull Watson. @jrry32If you're claiming you're leaving, you better stick with it.✌️

The odds shifted that high because we just made a move and LA is a large betting market. We will likely end up Top 6 as this settles but the are protecting theirselves. We were already Top 10 odds as it was. And we barely moved in our NFC odds

MDY10
Yeah I’m definitely pretty shocked with the fans in this forum right now lol we don’t use first rounders anyway.. one was given to take that massive contract and we have how many thirds? Still kept our second Too. IF somehow Watson ends up staying in Houston this is an even bigger win for the rams. He’s 32 years old and has never played on a decent team. So much for being thankful as rams fans that we have a team that goes out and gets whatever needs to be done, done. Of course get Watson if you can but I think it says something that they didn’t. I have no doubt they called or heavily weighed their options. Mathew Stafford is our QB.. I think that’s fantastic. I’m very happy for him as a person too to get out of Detroit. Guess I’ll be one of the few though sadly. Now all the Goff lovers will hate Matt and the war will somehow continue on this forum

We got better today. It was not a "lateral move" as some previously stated. 13 minutes ago, jrry32 said: I'll do what I want once I make a final decision and couldn't give less of a fugg what your opinion is on it. Take your soft, pretentious, Goff-lovin a$$ the F off this board if you're not riding with the Rams. No one cares dude. The Rams are bigger than Jared Goff and will now be better without Jared Goff. And once they restructure Stafford we will have more cap space to add to this contender. You're saltier than the Red Sea. The whole tough guy on the message board shtick only makes you look impotent. The Rams have hitched their wagon to Stafford. If he doesn't win them a Super Bowl in the next two years, they've lose their bet.
Dr LBC
16 minutes ago, BStanRamFan said: Need to hope SF doesn't pull Watson. Unless Lynch is willing to put one of San Fran's proven draft successes who is still under multiple years of rookie contract on the table, I can't see Nick Caserio parting with Watson for more than what we just ponied across for Stafford. So we're talking a 1st this year (and locking the Texans into - most likely, unless they were committing to the tank - taking a QB at #12, possibly even knowing they may have to trade up from #12 depending on how the board falls) and likely 2022 and 2023 1st's (might be a 2023 2nd depending on how many 2021 picks the Niners were willing to part with, which might depend on how many picks they end up with... currently could be as many as 10) as the starting point. One thing this trade did do is hurt the Niners' (or probably anyone not willing/able to trade a serviceable QB or franchise player in return as part of the deal) ability to land Watson. WFT and/or the Jets are the only teams I can see feasibly able to put together a package that could get the job done (and for the Jets it would depend on how the Texans valued Darnold). offbyone
That cost you guys a lot, but I think that is the only solution for a team that thinks it is close, a QB away, and has no cap space. Pressure is on McVay now to deliver with stafford. Good luck!

But if we're here to talk to sports and about our favorite teams, no one wants to do it with fans who jumpship when they don't get their way. Especially pretentious ones. Acting like a child. "Rams traded the guy I loved and gave up more than I wanted so now I want to leave". Good. Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out. Yeah, we're making a legit run at a Superbowl while Donald and Ramsey are in their primes along with Kupp and Woods under contract. It cost us an extra first because Goff's not worth his contract so we had to make it worth their while to take it from us (if we make the playoffs next two years those firsts are same value as early 2nds) and the 3rd we gave is the one we got from Holmes getting hired. If it brings us a Superbowl, it's worth it.

Legitimate ones. We might even be able to win if our defense plays poorly.
