SINGAPORE Week 6

Motivation

Divisional game.

Offense (3 WR, 1 RB, 1 TE)

Compton has a stout front four with a rising star in Buckner. With Glenn still recovering we will turn to Lane Taylor at LT. He had a stellar two weeks in his position switch and can get the job done against Clowney.

Hunt will keep the starting job at RB as he has earned it but we will manage his usage to keep him fresh for the season. He and Bell will get a 60/40 split of carries as we hope to wear down the Black Panthers defense over the course of the game.

In the passing game, Funchess has earned some snaps on the outside across from Allen. Fitzgerald settles back into the slot. Big Ben will try and stay away from Heyward’s side as he it Compton’s best corner.

Defense: 4-2-5 Big Nickel

With Diggs out this week, Compton is very thin at WR so we’ll expect some two TE formations. We’ll use a 3 Safety nickel with rising star rookie John Johnson III covering Bennett and Vaccaro on Fleener. Harmon will cover center field and help keep AB contained on big plays.

Case Keenum will face the full wrath of the Sentinel pass rush this week. Griffen is off to his best start in years with 6 sacks already this year. Donald and Joseph are two of the top interior DL in the league and will keep Beast Mode in check. Even against the above average OL Compton has Keenum should be running for his life.

Trae Waynes will draw coverage on AB and will at least not give up the big play by holding as necessary. He’ll get help from Harmon over the top. Kirkpatrick will cover Garcon. We’ll try and limit the big plays and keep everything in front to limit YAC.

Compton Gameplan Written by Whicker:

Offense:

Compton's offense this week is going to focus on trying to attack the very poor Singapore seconday with a lot of quick, short throws that will protect Keenum from making any huge mistakes. Singapore doesn't have a single member in their secondary that can even think of matching up with Antonio Brown so he will be our primary target. We will line him up out wide often and hope to draw a double team or bracket coverage from a safety. If there is a double team, we will use routes from Pierre Garcon and Tarik Cohen on the other side of the field and get run-after-catch against a single safety. We will often line up in 2 TE sets with a TE on both sides of the line to help against the edge pressure of Singapore. Marshawn Lynch will be the primary between-the-tackles runner with Tarik Cohen seeing more touches overall.

Defense:

Compton's defense this week will focus on stopping both Kareem Hunt and LeVeon Bell. We are going to crowd the line of scrimmage and hope that the talent difference between our defensive line and their offensive line is enough for us to keep control of this game. We will use a Cover-2 shell to give both of our outside corners help over the top as well as limit any run-after-catch opportunities for their running backs. We will also mix in some Cover-3 and Cover-1 to move Joseph into the box and give us extra run support.

Gotta go with Singapore here. Their running game plus defensive front wins them this game. AB will get his against a mediocre secondary but I don't think Case hits him consistently enough to win and not sure Garçon gives him enough on the other side. Still the best gameplay from Compton in quite some time B|

Yeah it's a decent effort from Compton, but realistically the talent gap at a few key positions won't be overcome. I think Compton plays hard in what's mathematically their last shot at keeping the season alive, but Singapore's rolling at the moment and although it's close til about halftime, Singapore streak away to finish. Singapore 24 - Compton 10.

Can I write Compton's next game plan if no one signs up.

I had volunteered for next week but if you want to I won't stop you as I'm going to be out of town for most of the weekend.
