I have to give Mayock some credit for Hobbs.  I did not like the pick but he has been my favorite player in the preseason.

I'll also give him credit for Mullen over Greedy Williams.

at what point do we hit FA to address G and RT? some big names out there. if his health checks out i'd welcome Osemele back at G.

One would think sooner than later.

We have the parts to make a decent run, and what's missing IS GLARING JUST LIKE WE ALL SAID IT WOULD.

Well in a perfect world, Richie and Good/Simpson would have been fine. Heck, even Good + Simpson would have been adequate. But with Good being out too... C and RG is a massive liability in the run game, and the entire right side of the line has been a disaster in pass pro.

Kolton Miller is basically a one man show right now.

Yes, kinda big deal to be without the 2 vet starting Gs before the end of week 1.

From LG to RT, there's no experience. (At the start of the season, Simpson - 252 snaps, James - 116 snaps, Eluemunor - 740 snaps, Leatherwood - 0 snap). A season is over 1000 snaps, none of them has 1 season of playing experience. It's hard enough for an inexperienced player, let alone when everybody around him is going through the struggles.

Ideally Cable will get his head out of his arse and start Martin over James. If we're looking for another guard or OT, something interesting possibilities:

• Trade Kenyan Drake for Andre Dillard

• Sign Ricky Wagner (RT)

• Sign Mitchell Schwartz (RT)

• Sign DJ Fluker (OG/OT)

• Sign JR Sweezy (OG)

• Sign David Decastro (OG)

• Sign James Carpenter (OG)

Carpenter, Sweezy, and Fluker have all played for Cable in the past and Carpenter/Fluker have both started at both OG/OT.
