With some things starting to take shape after Day 1, I want to throw my predictions out there for what happens next for us:

  • Brockers will be cut.
  • Ramsey/Kupp will be restructured. (possibly Donald)
  • Stafford will be extended.
  • Woods will be traded to Jax for #33 overall
  • Rams will sign Kyle Rudolph.
  • Rams will sign John Ross.
  • Rams will sign Nick Martin.
  • Rams will sign Denzel Perryman.

Essentially we go bargain hunting in the latter days of FA as we have in the past on Rudolph, Ross, Martin, and Perryman. Wouldn't be shocked if we signed Keanu Neal on a 1 year incentive based deal while he looks to improve his value for next year.

So a team all in with a new QB is going to downgrade their WR position from Woods to John Ross? How does that help us? Kupp will miss a handful of games and Ross in 4 seasons has played a total of 27 games with 51 catches. Ross if anything should be a compliment to Woods and Kupp not a replacement.

Well Van Jefferson steps into Woods role, not Ross. I'm very high on him and it fits our mentality of drafting a year ahead of need. I also just updated the post you quoted with a mockdraft and added a WR who I love as well in the 4th. With Kupp, VJ, Higbee, Rudolph, Akers, and Ross I like our weapons.

I'd bet you'll have to switch Humphrey's and Little's draft position @BStanRamFan

I'd say that's probably accurate, but would be a dream scenario to get our LT of the future and a LG.

Whit-Humphrey-Martin-Edwards-Havenstein

Little/Evans/ Anchorum as reserves. I'd be VERY happy with that situation going into the season.

Huge leap of faith but makes no sense to downgrade WR with adding Stafford. Thankfully it looks like we’re restructuring him and Kupp so we stay all in with a great WR duo.

It's not a downgrade in my eyes. Woods/Kupp/Jefferson are all redundant in terms of skillset. Trading Woods would have saved $11M in cap and garnered an early 2nd round pick. It's more about diversifying our WR core as opposed to "downgrading" as you put it.

Doesn't matter now because Woods restructure saves us $8Mil.

Whitworth too

Stafford extenstion will probably happen tomorrow once the trade is official.

Restructures coming

Reports were that we needed to get to $23Mil by Wednesday. The figures mentioned ($20M) and Kupp/Donald/Whit along with a Stafford extension should give us actual spending money.

We already spent it with Floyd

His annual breakdown has not yet been provided. We have no idea what his cap hit is in 2021 yet. If you have it, please share. If you dont, scale back the negativity this morning. It's a real bummer.

You're just assuming things based on no information whatsoever. We have no clue what his cap hit will be. So instead doom and gloom, why don't we wait to find out more before we jump to conclusions.

Apparently Rapoport has said we’re done after the restructures. Wouldn’t wanna put those future comp picks in jeopardy.

If we needed -33M to get to even, then this would account for that plus Floyd. However, it does not include what a Stafford extension would save. I'm normally the first person to believe realiable sources (Rapoport), but I don't think we're done if Stafford gets extended.
