Uncle Buck 3,630
Asking the sun and the moon for their players seems to be an Eagles tradition. If memory serves me correctly, weren't they saying they wanted 3-4 first round picks for an over the hill Donovan McNabb back in the day too?
Toddfather 402
At this point if you don't trade him what does that locker room become? This whole thing has been a disaster and I'm a fan of the team that took Jordan Love right before Rodge went on a MVP season (low key don't hate it). I just don't see how a new coach and staff tries to navigate the waters with both QBs still there... Edited February 13 by Toddfather

If he loses all year long they'll be talking about him as the highest paid backup. I do think people over react to Eagles overplaying their hand. I don't think his value changes too much. I'm honestly curious to see if another qb domino falls before him that may be the only thing that impacts it. Chicago and Indy will still value him they have coaches with history tied to him.
NYRaider 3,856
Unreal how quickly things change in the NFL. Goff led the Rams to the Super Bowl in 2019 and got traded. Jimmy G led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2020 and is likely getting cut or traded. Wentz had an MVP like season in 2017 before he got hurt while the Eagles won the Super Bowl and he's likely getting traded.

Most likely scenario is Jimmy is the starting qb of the niners next year. There's a small chance he's gone, but I doubt the niners get watson and it seems unlikely they go Qb in the draft either at 12 or trading up

Seems like he will have to earn that back
Trojan 539
I could see a Wentz + Ertz being attractive to Indianapolis given Trey Burton is a FA and Ertz would help as a receiving option as Pittman develops and maybe TY has a little left in the tank. Outside of the Colts I don't really think it's appealing to pair them. Someone like Chicago has a young up and coming TE in Kmet and like the 49ers have Kittle. I would think Wentz goes alone somewhere and then Ertz ends up somewhere like Seattle or LA with the Chargers (if Henry leaves), maybe Jaguars if that's how they want to support Trevor. MikeT14 5,051
So if the Colts offered two 2nds for Wentz, and they're also interested in Ertz, would bumping one of those 2nds to a 1st be too much for both? Maybe return a 4th?

soflbillsfan 514
I dont get the eagles a 1st is a stretch, they are cap dumping at the same time. They have to understand that his deal right now and his performance is on the same level as Brock Osweiler was with the Texans and being sent to the Browns. Detroit got what they got because they were absorbing another bad contract in Gofff. To me the Eagles getting two 2nds and a future 3/4 is the best they are going to get without taking on some bad contract in return. The Eagles aren't ready to compete you are dumping your qb, and you fired your HC. Its rebuild time so do it properly take what you can for wentz clear his cap long term, turn around and trade ertz to a team willing to spend a day 3 pick on him and start building a younger squad. Ideally you should start fielding calls for Fletcher Cox too as he will get you the most value of any player on the team and accept 2021 season as a loss and look to compete in 2022. When you have cap space to rebuild that team to improve Hurts protection and weapons while recreating the defense. Keeping or maintaining this overpaid squad is why you are in this mess. Yes having injured olineman isnt ideal but this team shot for the moon in order to be superbowl contenders and it flopped. If you are going with a new HC and a new QB you arent ready to compete so do what you can to collect draft stock and move other big contracts so that way you can get younger.
