pf9
Maybe the NFL will actually limit the national TV exposure of the NFC East this year.

candyman93
Not sure where to put this. Can’t wait for ESPN to lose the NFL and put out hit pieces on why the league is “tanking.”

pf9
Green Bay at Chicago should be the SNF game on Halloween. For this game, Chicago would wear orange (a color heavily associated with Halloween) from head to toe - including the helmet, where the shell is orange, and the wishbone C is navy blue (pending change of helmet rules). pf9
The teams previously played on Halloween in 1965, 1993 (at GB unlike the other two), and 1994. The last two took place on the 10th and 11th anniversaries of the death of Bears founder George Halas. The 1994 Halloween MNF game also featured a torrential downpour. The 1994 MNF game featured a Halloween-themed remix of "Heavy Action", called "Scary Action". Which gives me an idea. The Packers-Bears game on Halloween night this year should use a Halloween-themed remix of the NBC SNF theme, like "Scary Action", it would prominently feature the organ. pf9
Alright, the NFL should start a tradition of having the Super Bowl runner-up host the first physical Sunday night game of the season, which would be satisfied by having Buffalo at Kansas City in week 1 on SNF. pf9
That is, unless the defending champs happen to have a home game against the team they beat in the Super Bowl the previous year (which happened in 2014, 2016, and 2017, though the former game was not on NBC at all; the latter was on NBC, but it was not the kickoff game). In which case that would be the kickoff game. Edited March 3, 2021 by pf9
pf9
The 17th game is likely to be approved. Of the extra games, these are the most appealing to air on national TV: Seattle at Pittsburgh LA Rams at Baltimore Arizona at Cleveland New Orleans at Tennessee Tampa Bay at Indianapolis Green Bay at Kansas City Possibly, San Francisco at Cincinnati could be in primetime to mark the 40th anniversary of Super Bowl 16, which was the very first time the 49ers won a championship.
