Is Klint as smart and creative as his dad once was? Think this was a favor of Gary to be asking as they didnt really seek out anyone for the job, I didn't even hear of any interviews for the job.

The only one I heard about was the NYG WR coach. Can't recall his name though.

Gotcha so rooney rule I assume just to not get fined as they were comfortable with Klint. Any info on Klint? Hopefully he works out for you guys as you have a nice looking offense going in to next year.

Tyke Tolbert. He coached the Denver WRs during the Manning years.

I don't know anything about Klint aside from him being Gary's son. If he succeeds we'll say "like father like son," and if he fails we'll cry "nepotism." 😄

Rooney Rule, yes.

Not much info about Klint other than he'll be running his dad's system which Zimmer wanted. So we'll have schematic continuity which will be nice but this will be his first time being a coordinator and calling plays.

If Klint can separate the dead weight from his dad's regime, there's a chance he might work out.

I'm looking at you, Rick Dennison and Brian Pariani (the run game was successful, but that's on the amazing talents of Dalvin Cook rather than the OL being better...and as for pass pro, ugh).   Those are 2 guys who are stuck in the old ZBS days.

Our ZBS was actually very successful. Cook is good, but you don't average 5 YPC as a team without a successful scheme.

Cool had 312 carries and 802 yards before contact.   He had an amazing 756 yards after contact.    The ZBS scheme was successful in a huge way because of Cook (as a season-long Cook & Thielen owner the eye test in game backs up the metrics).

Do people like getting interviewed for the color of their skin?

He's been the QB coach the last 2 seasons and Cousins has actually shown improvements.

Well you can look at it as two things one you are gaining experience by doing an interview and what questions are being asked at the Coordinator level and 2 you are being talked about in the media as a potential Coordinating candidate, even if its because of rooney the name is out there for other organizations to look at it in the future since it can be a copy cat league. While it may not be ideal for some of these guys as they are just used as pawns they are gaining more exposure then lets say a caucasian positional coach trying to be a Coordinator. So it works in both ways as simply being a tool for an organization and the organization being a tool for your exposure/interview experience. Plus if you are even being interviewed it is a good sign that you are doing your job properly and other teams see you for doing so.
