Pastor Dillon
This rumor going around of John wall for Westbrook and a 2027 1st is absolutely the craziest thing ever. Like it’s a legit rumor. imagine a world where the rockets get a 1st for trading Westbrook and taking on wall and then receive another 1st for trading wall and getting Westbrook. almost would make up for the two 1sts we traded to get Westbrook in the first place. a 2027 lakers 1st could be cash money. They don’t have much young talent. In 5 years they could be extremely bad. the rockets could end up with a rebuilt team that competes and still have 1sts from the lakers and nets post dynasty. Honestly, it seems like a Rockets' pipe dream. Why would the Lakers ADD value to a package for a similar player with a similar contract. The only difference is one is playing (poorly I might add) and the other one isn't playing at all.

You couldn’t trade your 2024 pick because you’ve traded your 2023, but you can trade your 2022 1st rounder Not until the day of the draft, otherwise it's still 2 "future" picks in a row.

the lone star
Mavs shouldn't trade Brunson for Simmons either tbh. Same goes for Porzingis.
the lone star
Mavs should trade for Richaun Holmes. Give Sacramento Moses Brown, a top 25 protected first round pick, and the TPE the Mavs got for Josh Richardson. EDIT: I meant Josh not Jason. That should be it though. Can't give up too much for a non star.

Texansfan713
I just read an article on the Athletic about the Rockets and Wall/Gordon. They are saying is likely they wont deal Gordon since Stone turned down some previous offers for him. I swear if he dont get trade Gordon and Wood at the deadline Im going to be pissed. Gordon better be dealt.

Holmes is legit and underpaid.
seminoles1
Lakers receive: John Wall and Eric Gordon Rockets receive: Russell Westbrook, Talen Horton-Tucker, Lakers' 2028 1st round pick

I think Westbrook isn’t like John wall. He’s not gonna accept sitting out 2 years to get paid. He’s gonna decline his player option and take a buy out. Then he’s gonna join a fringe playoff team like the Knicks and put up nightly triple doubles and lead them to the playoffs only to be bounced quickly. Then sign with someone this off season.
