the lone star

Not even close.  And I don't think Sexton is overly valuable.

I think the biggest issue for Cleveland is that Sexton is due for an extension and will be a restricted free agent next year. He's likely going to command near max money to sign an extension or test free agency next summer. One of the Cleveland beat writers said that most teams view Sexton as more of a Lou Williams type of player rather than someone worth a max deal. And at this point the Cavaliers essentially have to choose between Allen and Sexton because Allen is going to get $100M+ this off-season so if they pay Sexton as well, with the Love deal on the books, they'll go into the luxury tax with one of the worst rosters in the league.

Jazz receive: Larry Nance Jr

Cavaliers receive: Derrick Favors, Matt Thomas, #30, future 2nd round pick

You can keep offering all your spare parts, but you're not going to get a legitimate player for them.  You're offering a big who was buried on the bench in the playoffs and due another $19.9M over the next 2 years, a very late FRP, a career journeymen, and a future late SRP.  That's a bunch of nickels and dimes, and hoping to get a dollar out of it.

Anyways who are some guys you'd like the Lakers to pursue? Looks like Marvin Bagley and Buddy Hield are both on their way out of Sacramento.

Buddy Hield is probably the closest thing to a "star" the Lakers could possibly acquire, and the fit seems logical.  He can handle the ball, plays solid defense, and more importantly can shoot.  The problem is that he's on the Kings' roster, and they usually don't like dealing with the Lakers.  I honestly don't remember the last time the Kings and Lakers traded with each other.

I'd offer a future 1st round pick as well. Cleveland is rebuilding and Nance is in his prime, doubt he wants to be there, they'd get a solid backup C and two first round picks.

Yeah, Favors in a bigger role with the Pelicans was a 10/10/1 guy and is only 29. Would be a solid backup center for them and they'd be getting two 1st round picks, damnit. Nance has missed 60 games over the last 3 years and they're a rebuilding team, lol.

Mike Conley was golfing with some other Jazz players and trainers in SLC yesterday and his wife hosted an event in the city last night. Think there's a good chance we retain him.

A bit more research and you'd uncovered that she titled the event: "Thanks for the memories!"

So yeah....when the player's wives are talking about leaving....it's been discussed & decided upon.

Why are you so worried about us? You guys are already in the luxury tax with only 6 players under contract including KCP, Kuzma, Harrell, and Gasol. Oh wait, can't forget you're also paying my boy Luol Deng $5M as well.

Worried? Not in the slightest....and yeah, we're tight on cash.

Interested to see if Rob can pull any tricks out of his sleeves this off-season. Saw a report that Kuzma is already preparing to be traded. This years free agency class is boo boo and the only teams that are even projected to have space are the Knicks, Spurs, Thunder, Mavericks, Raptors, Grizzles, Heat, and Hornets.
