TRADE FALCONS RECEIVE STEELERS RECEIVE - 2026 2nd - - HB M VERNON 79 N - - - 2025 4th Couldn't get more than this. Whatever, future 2nd is great for a HB I would have let walk after this year. This makes sense for the Steelers, their best RB was Michel at 76 and they just got a stud QB. But I need a swing tackle. Whitehead is a CB converted to FS. I will be looking at safety in the upcoming draft class because Enrique Collins hasn't really progressed, and this is his contract year. Offense is worse because we have taken a big step down at WR. One of my main priorities in this league was to get a stud WR as soon as possible. There just haven't been any. I am praying this upcoming class will have one so I can get him up as quickly as possible, because I will be entering a window in a couple years. OL will be interesting. I usually train OL and WR most years due to the amount of players you can train. I will be doing OL going forward almost every year. I don't normally pay interior OL and save that money for the tackles. Defense looks pretty good. I need some better corners, and probably a new safety next year, but I am happy with this. I don't care about DT too much because they only play in base. Could also use another stud DE or edge rusher. He was not successful in upgrading to an X Factor. The requirements are ridiculous - 350 yards, 4 TDs no INTs. He failed one last year as well. Rookie CB Paul Bailey has a breakout for week 3. In week 3 I am doing some scouting on WRs - there are three early 1 WRs all Physical - so all around 6'4. I need to do what I can to get an early 1st rounder. As of now I only have my pick. I will check out what I have to offer around week 8 - I am thinking I could move one of my young Tight Ends - I have 3 of them all high 70s and all young. The rest will likely walk. Collins I may sign for a couple years, depending on what the class looks like. Duncan Mays is asking for a pretty big deal, which isn't surprising. I will likey pay him as well. Sherwood was my first ever pick. He hasn't quite developed as I had hoped, but I think by trainig LBs for a couple years I should be able to ghet him to a high 80s. The cap hit isn't too bad. He might be someone I end up cutting in the final couple years of his deal, but there was no way I was getting him for less than 6 years based on his demands. So here is some big news. QB Oliver McGee and OLB Marquise Sherwood have signed big extensions to stay with the Atlanta Falcons. This is where it begins. I really don't like having QBs hit the cap until the team is built, but getting McGee as a mid round pick in year 1 is just too good of a story to pass on.
