2021 NFL Draft

We'll see if he does it, but I could see Les setting up for the kind of strategy I might have used myself in a draft situation like this where COVID made it rough to get proper medicals on guys.  Get a buttload of 7th round picks and just blanket grab the injury-question guys and hope that at least 1 pans out - because if it happens you're getting tremendous value (Day 2 talent in the 7th round).

I like the Jacob Harris pick

He's actually a freak of nature:

Jacob Harris - WR

HEIGHT: 6’ 5”

WEIGHT: 219 pounds

40 YD DASH: 4.39 seconds

BENCH PRESS: 15 reps

WINGSPAN: 81 1/4”

VERTICAL JUMP: 40.5”

BROAD JUMP: 11’ 1”

3 CONE DRILL: 6.51 seconds

20 YD SHUTTLE: 4.28 seconds

That’s actually not a bad idea. I like that

I'm really baffled by this draft. Hope for the best but we lost our starting center and have done absolutely nothing to replace him or upgrade over Brian Allen who was terrible when he started before getting hurt.

I wonder if there's still a chance at signing Austin Reiter.

We're doing better today. Rochell, Brown, and Harris are all boom/bust picks who have massive upside. Rochell and Brown in particular are intriguing. Both have the upside to be quality starters. Rochell needs to continue to develop his technical skills, as his athletic gifts are off the charts (and he's feisty). Brown needs to stop being lazy. He has the traits to be a game-changer inside if he's willing to play hard and work on his game.

Harris is a guy who tested out of this galaxy and could be an oversized deep threat WR, but his main value will be as a core special teamer imo. There's also some talk he could bulk up and be an athletic TE. Either ways, he has a ton of athletic upside, but even if he doesn't develop into an offensive weapon, he should make his mark on special teams. I don't know much about Earnest Brown. They must see him as a 3-4 DL pass rush specialist. I wish we'd have drafted Quincy Roche there.

I expect we're kicking Corbett inside and starting Evans, Anchrum, or Brewer at OG.

I hope so but when asked about the center all McVay mentioned was Allen and Shelton. Not very encouraging.

I really hope they're not repeating the Brian Allen mistake again. That would be insane hubris.
