Rumors, but being 3rd string is not a good sign. This is coming from someone who loved the pick in the moment.

Rumors manufactured by fans maybe. Being 3rd string was only a sign of an atypical offseason, camp, preseason and season due to Covid. Stashing him 3rd string and allowing him to focus on his development was fine and hopefully will prove beneficial.  If he’s 3rd string come this September, maybe then we start getting a little concerned.

I don't even think it was that extreme. They played a B- game. They needed an A- game

When I quoted someone who said the team "forgot how to football", that was in reference to the offense after the turnovers in the fourth quarter.

If they could have put together a TD scoring drive off of one of those.........well..........  We aren't having this conversation on this board.

Maybe Tee Higgins.  He would probably be the only one close to our original spot that might have had significant playing time last season.  But as others have said, the reason we didn't play in the SB was because we played poorly in the NFCC game.

For sure, there were many individual bad plays, but I still think overall the biggest reason we lost the game was because our Bak-less OLine couldn't contend with their great DLine in both the run and pass protect. We lost in the trenches.

Forgot to run the damn ball.   16 rushes .. 48 passes.  Ridiculous game planning on offense.

Its strange ....  would love to know what was going on with the play calling given the pass rush was getting through so often.

Play call from sidelines or at the line of scrimmage?

who knows ... just be interested to know the thinking. Presumably there was a valid reason, they didn't just forget to run and they wont have missed that the pass rush was coming hard.

Play called vs plays actually run is the question.
