bruceb
CBS in their latest mock has us picking Azeez Ojulari with JOK way off the board and Barmore still there. CBS in their current player ranking have JOK and Barmore paired as follows: 26 Christian Barmore Alabama Soph DL 2 6-5 310 27 Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Notre Dame Sr LB 4 6-1 215 Assuming CBS's player ranking is more accurate than their mock, which or which other, player would you pick? candyman93
Really good question. I’d be happy with either one, but if I had to choose it’d be Barmore.
MWil23
Unless Barmore is going to give us value as an interior pass rusher, I’d prefer JOK, but I’d be content with either. I’m personally not usually a fan of grabbing interior linemen in the first round, but the back half of the first isn’t a bad spot considering the tiered contract and fifth year option. Don't think Barmore is the guy: https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/christian-barmore/2e7BodFkQG I vote JOK.
FGK
I like both guys a lot. I'd take the top edges (Rousseau, Ojulari, Phillips) for sure over both guys. But if the edges are gone, Barmore and JOK are good options (there will probably be solid CB options open too).
#32
Barmore Use 3rd pick to trade up
shoffma1999
I would likely have to go with JOK. I like Barmore, but I believe JOK will be the more impactful player and likely have a faster transition to the NFL. I believe there are some quality interior pass rushers and edge players available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds where there isn't as much of a drop off as we would have in passing up on JOK and then targeting a difference making LB later. I believe we would have to trade up to the early 2nd to land a guy like Jabril Cox (which might be too costly) or wait until the 3rd and hope someone like Chazz Surratt is there. My ideal draft would be as follows: 1.) Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB - Notre Dame 2.) Richie Grant, S - UCF 3a.) Osa Odighizuwa, DT/DE - UCLA 3b.) Cade Johnson, WR - South Dakota State 4a.) Jordan Smith, DE - UAB 4b.) Shakur Brown, CB - Michigan State (via trade up with essentially the remainder of our picks if necessary) Then I would try to sign a FA pass rusher like JJ Watt or Von Miller so that Myles Garrett and Watt/Miller can help Jordan Smith develop into his potential. We could use Smith as a pass rushing specialist until he continues to build his strength and technique.
LinebackerGod
I think we need to trade up and snag one of the top DE's. Preferably Rousseau, as he is a true BASE DE that excels against the run and can get interior pressure. We can play him inside at 3-Tech on passing downs with Garrett next to him. Good luck. Usually I hate trading up, but I think our biggest need (DE) is going to have to be filled via trade-up. ...unless we're sold on Ojulari or Oweh, which I am not. I like both of their upsides and it's worth a gamble, but we don't need a gamble. We need a rock-solid guy that can at least eat starter minutes. Ojulari and Oweh are too light in the pants to play LDE and mix it up with TE's and RT's.

I’d like a long-term solution opposite Garrett. But either way really. Our two biggest needs are CB and DE. One of them needs to be a big FA signing. The other needs to be pick #28. Dawgpoun8017
I think we should pursue someone like Carl Lawson in FA
LinebackerGod
This team needs to keep bolstering the DL with young talent. I'd be good with taking 3-4 DL in the draft and adding one via FA. People don't hate Sheldon Richardson, but he's really not a good starter. He sucks for 4-5 snaps in a row and then makes a splash play/sack/TFL. I'd much rather have a guy that is consistently decent rather than a guy that is a liability more times than not. I think we need to move on from him. Additionally, I doubt we can afford to bring back Larry O. That leaves us with gigantic holes in the defensive front, but also gives us some cap space to tinker with. LE: (?) (Joe Jackson) DT: (?) (Andrew Billings) (Jordan Elliot) (?) (Vincent Taylor) RE: (Myles Garrett) (Porter Gustin) So we basically need a starting DT, a rotational DT, and a starting LDE. In a weak DT class, we need to be pretty good at picking the right guys. That's why I want to trade up for the best DE in the draft (Rousseau). He also can move around the defensive front and dominate guards on passing downs. He and Garrett can play literally next to each other to create 1-1's.
