I suspect this is coincidental not causal, but that's kind of the point of VAERS: report everything to see if there is something there. With some sinus congestion and such? Eh. I wouldn’t bother. That’s just me, I’m lazy.
LETSGOBROWNIES
Honest answer, it never hurts to report it just for data collection sake. But also, I wouldn’t do it myself tbh.

I didn’t think about it before he mentioned it. Probably not a vaccine symptom. I do think this weird sweating is a vaccine symptom though. I’m not even hot/warm and woke up with my shirt drenched, and was sweating my butt off at work, I am definitely not a sweater. It most likely is not. That's why they say you cannot use VAERS raw data for evaluating the efficacy: it's self reported data for everything. 2 minutes ago, LETSGOBROWNIES said: With some sinus congestion and such? Eh. LETSGOBROWNIES
Oh @BayRaider, if you’re taking ibuprofen or aspirin, Tylenol might be a better option for now. It doesn’t impact bleeding times like the others can.
LETSGOBROWNIES
All of the above said, I’m not a doctor and this is the internet. I’m happy to help but I don’t know your med hx and I’m no substitute for a doctor. If the stuff I mentioned doesn’t correct the issue, spend the $50 bucks or whatever and do a virtual visit.

Anywhere you have a large enough pool of unvaccinated people, you have a chance for variants. To be honest, this is probably one of the few reasons I don't subscribe to the "well, if you want to roll the dice with your own life, so be it" school of thought. Their choices/inaction potentially threaten those of us who are trying to keep safe. You’re absolutely right about it not being just Africa. That finding echoes a smaller study by the Mayo Clinic Health System in August, not yet peer-reviewed, which showed the Moderna vaccine to be more effective than Pfizer-BioNTech at preventing infections during the delta wave.
Xenos
La school district mandates vaccines for all eligible students. https://www.google.com/amp/s/ktla.com/news/local-news/l-a-school-board-to-vote-on-whether-to-mandate-covid-vaccinations-for-students-12-and-older/amp/ Quote Melvoin added that public schools have long required immunization against other illnesses like polio, measles, mumps and rubella, “and consequently most parents don’t have to worry about their kids contracting those illnesses and their kids may not have ever heard of them.” Board member Jackie Goldberg said she grew up as polio was “ravaging Los Angeles.” “And you know what stopped it? Vaccinating every single student in the entire state, in the entire country, and eventually in a lot of the world,” she said. TVScout
Paywalled, just click the inline links; A hospital will no longer deliver babies after staffers resign over coronavirus vaccine mandate. Quote An Upstate New York hospital announced that it will stop delivering babies this month after several staffers in the maternity department resigned over the hospital system’s coronavirus vaccine mandate. At least six unvaccinated maternity staffers at Lewis County General Hospital have resigned in recent days and seven others remain undecided on whether to get vaccinated, Gerald Cayer, chief executive officer of the Lewis County Health System, said at a Friday news conference. The staff shortage will result in the hospital being “unable to safely staff” the maternity department beginning Sept. 25, he said. The Sept. 25 pause is scheduled two days before New York state’s deadline for health-care workers to be vaccinated if they want to continue working, according to the Watertown Daily News. https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2021/09/12/ny-hospital-babies-vaccine-mandate/
TVScout
Estimates of COVID-19 Cases and Deaths Among Nursing Home Residents Not Reported in Federal Data Quote Question How many COVID-19 cases and deaths at nursing homes were missed in the federal National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) reporting system owing to the delayed start in required reporting? Findings In this cross-sectional study of 15 307 US nursing homes, approximately 44% of COVID-19 cases and 40% of COVID-19 deaths that occurred before the start of reporting were not reported in the first NHSN submission in sample states, suggesting there were more than 68 000 unreported cases and 16 000 unreported deaths nationally. Meaning These findings suggest that federal NHSN data understate total COVID-19 cases and deaths in nursing homes and that using these data without accounting for this issue may result in misleading conclusions about the determinants of nursing home outbreaks. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2784031
