Bring Captain America to the Pats!! Check him out! Sat out 2020, (or seemed like it), but showed a lot of versatility and promise before. Injuries/suspension cloud what is a pretty good RB prospect. Late round/UDFA sleeper because of pandemic affected season, competitive college roster, and devalued position. DoleINGout
Tim Patrick (RFA), Romeo Okwara, Anthony Walker Jr., Tyus Bowser, Austin Johnson, & Rakeem Nunez-Roches round out the remaining FA's considered seriously. Shaq Mason contract was restructured to gain cap space in 2021 along with many cuts. Trades involving Dont'a Hightower were discussed with several teams but all ultimately fell through. The ideas of trading Stephon Gilmore or Ja'Whaun Bentley were considered. Believe it or not, there was interest presented to us for N'Keal Harry, Sony Michel, Shaq Mason, as well as Damien Harris, Michael Onwenu, & JC Jackson. Julian Edelman and Chase Winovich were traded to the Buccaneers. Dalton Keene and Jonathan Jones were also included in a trade.
Uncle Buck
I don't think BB is going to draft a QB early in the draft. It just doesn't seem like has enough time left in his coaching career to start all over grooming a rookie. I could actually see him going after Teddy Bridgewater for the Pats. Teddy isn't going to knock anybody over with his arm strength, but if put in the right situation, Teddy is very good because he doesn't turn the ball over and doesn't try to do things he isn't capable of doing, like trying to fit a ball into too small of a window. I could see Belichick putting together a system that could be very successful with Teddy. As for draft prospects, I have to admit to not knowing enough about the Patriots' current needs to have a very good opinion. Sorry.
