I absolutely can't stand that he ends up on the ground on a large percentage of his snaps.

There was also one game last season (forget which one) where it looked like he was just wandering around at times. Very weird.

Leno was decent for a while, but for whatever reason, has really stunk the last couple of years.

Cheaper under the radar guys I would target...

WR...Josh Reynolds...Reynolds is a guy who does everything well but nothing outstandingly in the Rams offence...what sops him getting paid is the fact he just doesn't catch a lot of TDs...9 in 4 seasons...5 of which all came in 2018...that said as a solid #2 or guy #3 we could do much worse.

TE...Mo Alie-Cox...the Colts have plenty of money tied up at TE...Alie-Cox came on nicely as a receiver last year but it's his size and inline ability I would want us to use here...I can see Alie-Cox falling thought the cracks of a pretty strong TE FA pool.

OT...Elijah Wilkinson...Started half the year at RT for the Broncos last season Wilkinson is a young and athletic OT who if we can't resign Ifedi would make a lot of sense to go after.

DL...Kwann Short...hear me out on this one...Short has barely played the past two seasons...he has already made a lot of money...he is from the Chicago area...where better to play on an elite defense where you don't need to be a stand out and can just be a rotation piece on a prove it type deal? Bring him in as a depth/3rd down specialist inside and he could find a role.

ILB...Reggie Ragland...To get the best out of Smith you need a thumper next to him...Ragland is a physical downhill guy who could take on blocks and let Smith be the star.

We really need to know what the QB budget is going to be.

Did Newton set the veteran prove it market at 5 plus a ton of incentives?

NE made a horrendous deal there, though it is not going to escalate for any of those incentives. I'd take Tru over Newton and neither of them nor Foles is worth $5mil.

Why?  5 million is not even good vet back up money.  I’d take Cam at $5 mil to be my back up on any team in league.

I feel like we would see Wilson or Watson before we would see Trent Williams on Bears.

How about both?

I'm of the opinion that Bears wouldn't make a move for a big money LT like Trent Williams just to block for Foles or some other scrub veteran QB.

This seems like an all in type of move that's part of a bigger picture

There were some reports out there saying that Russ was waiting to see what the Bears did in FA, specifically at addressing OL before fully committing to any potential trade
