Could see the Raiders going after him to teach out young guns the scheme.

For any FA who’s not a top 2-3 guy at the position and at his age in this offseason I think it’s going to be a case of taking the best offer he can find.

His first team was GB.  We were sorry when he left.  I hope he lands on his feet on a contending team this year.  It is too bad we are so tight against the cap this year.

Good guy, and purely a cap move. Can still be an above average starter to probowler if healthy. Hate to see him go but have to wonder what our plan is with all this cap room and like 2 offensive linemen plus one corner under contract.

My ideal scenario: internally sign Hunter Henry, Michael Davis as CB2, sign Rayshawn Jenkins, and find a way to lower Mike William’s salary cap through a team friendly extension. Externally our big FA signings will be Corey Linsley at OC and Reiff at LT. After that get some bargains for mid tier defensive guys (like edge rusher) that fit Staley’s scheme.

Love seeing comments from both teams fans saying how much they liked/miss the guy. Hope his career continues and no matter where he plays, he sounds like a guy to root for.
