MacReady
Well that sucked for us. Now we really gotta hope for the Buccaneers to upset the Falcons even though their final two games are Saints/Panthers.

Or we gotta now hope we tie with Seattle and Dallas and get that last spot because of H2H and the Panthers lose 2 (one of them to us). I'm not all that worried about Detroit. Stafford's throwing hand is hurt and they haven't looked very good lately.

Division Champs yet again! #delusional But we're in if we win out and get a little help from Seattle losing or Atlanta dropping a lot of games. Every single year people say, "Oh, I don't want to play this pass catching running back because he'll destroy us." Every single year, we stop that pass catching running back. Woodhead was gonna destroy us. He had 21 yards receiving. Coleman had 2 catches for 3 yards. Even Leveon Bell didn't go absolutely crazy with yardage on us. There are plenty of reasons to fear what our defense is going to do in the playoffs. Running backs aren't one of them. It's just annoying sometimes. Receivers kill us. Running backs don't. It's probably because the receivers are so open they don't have to throw to the backs....

I said Atlanta torched us (they did) and that Freeman/coleman had nice games (they did). They were so far ahead the entire game that we knew they were running it 80% of the time. And they still did fine. On 12/7/2017 at 8:02 AM, HorizontoZenith said: I remember the one carry for 35 yards and then the 5 carries for 7 yards. That's how running works. It's like going 3/6 for 42 yards passing. On 12/7/2017 at 8:02 AM, HorizontoZenith said: Two running backs have had GOOD games against us. Bell and Elliot. If you think two GOOD, not INSANE games against the top two running backs in the league is evidence to suggest we're bad at stopping running backs, that's on you. I'll take literally all the other games of us holding backs under season average performances as evidence to suggest that running backs are the one skill position we're fully capable of holding in check. I don't think we're bad at stopping RBs. I don't think we're immune to good-excellent players ruining games vs us, and I don't think it would be wise to overlook the impact of running focused teams like NO, ATL, and Dallas as potentially really bad matchups for this team. When we played Kamara the first time, he wasn't as involved as he is now, since they were working him in, so I don't really buy the season average performance argument. Now, he's one of the best skill guys in the league. See also: Barber, Peyton. On 12/7/2017 at 8:02 AM, HorizontoZenith said: So quit the hyperbole. Pot, kettle, horse, water. JBURGE
I don't think I've ever wanted anything more in life than to beat the Vikings in the NFCCG in Minnesota and win the superbowl in Minny 2 weeks later. That won't happen unless the Eagles get the #1 seed, which I don't see happening. If we beat them in the divisional tho that would be just fine. JBURGE
If the Panthers lose to the Vikings, we will need to cheer hard for the Panthers week 17. I don't like those chances.

No, what screwed us was losing our best player. I wonder how the Falcons and Seahawks would have fared this season if they lost Ryan and Wilson for half of the year.
