coffeedrinker
If the 49ers don't sign him. The Colts are in a good cap situation, although not as good as the Jags but they have plenty of money to throw his way if they want. About the only thing that concerns me about Williams in a Colts uniform is, he has never played a full season and is only one year removed from missing an entire season. But when he's on the field he is one of the best LTs in the game. He and Q next to each other would a formidable duo on the left side. Wyld Stallyns
I think it’s very unlikely. The Colts aren’t going to pay what it will likely take to sign him and I’ve heard the 49ers are already making plans to bring him back. If we were to sign anyone I would think it’s someone like Reilly Reiff. I think we could still draft a tackle in that situation to develop behind him. Also with Nelson and Smith’s extensions coming up signing Williams would be way too money invested on the OL.
Warhorse
My guess is he will cost more than Ballard would be willing to spend. If he had a good health record....it might be different.

You mention Reiff, I've also heard some rumors of Villanueva and he may be a good stop gap and allow the Colts to spend a 2nd or 3rd round pick on someone who may not be ready to start right away. Warhorse
Glad they're forking out that money and not us.
