. Round-2 coming soon....

As a Miami fan that would be interesting. I have generally been against trading for Watson as I believed the cost was too high. This scenario is palatable.

In light of recent allegations, I doubt Miami (or anyone) will be trading for him.

Houston is drafting A QB in rd 1. And if it's Mac Jones, it's Mac Jones. Now there's big buzz that Atlanta has a massive crush on Trey Lance. If Carolina wants to move up to 3, It'll be for Lance. If Fields is their guy, they'll stay up at 8 unless they fear a team like the Bears may look to move up to go get Fields.

I was listening to 92.9 the game this morning. Arthur Smith believes they can still contend in the NFC South with an offensive-core of Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley. Especially with Brees retiring, on paper, they would be the 2nd best team in the NFC South. With that being said, you build around these guys. Pitts becomes Matt Ryan's Tony Gonzalez, and Nijee Harris becomes RB1.

Oh Matt Ryan will be their starter even if they draft a QB. The QB they draft will be redshirted like Mahomes. Next years QB class is not good. Having a strong succession plan at QB will be crucial to their success.

Check out my 5 rd mock by the way

A sleeper for the Falcons @ QB would be Jamie Newman. Could sit for 2-seasons behind Matt Ryan. Could probably bring him in w/packages designed to suit his game as well.

Sleeper may be, But after what teams saw the Chiefs do with Mahomes, other teams will be looking to do the same. That was the plan for Herbert but because of an injury, he was thrusted into action, but was absolutely spectacular

Overall i would be pretty pissed off at the Falcons if they did this draft. This is not me saying it can't happen but more so me saying if the Falcons did it they would be dumb at this point in time where our roster is  I don't believe taking a WR or TE that early is the correct move at all with as many problems as we have on the team and on defense and neither of those actually being a need.    Would also think it's moronic of the front office to trade back up into the 1st round for any player but much more so a RB when this draft is loaded with them and some of them i view as good if not better than Najee in the 2nd round.   We have way to many needs and positions to fill for us to waste picks moving up this year.    The exact opposite of that is what should be happening where we actually need to trade down preferably in the 1st to help us get enough bodies to fill out this roster with capable players.

If we stay at 4 it would be smarter to go with Sewell or Parsons  or the most logical choice is to trade down pick up more picks and take a player at a position in the draft that fits what we need most in  Safety, RB, Edge, OG, or CB.

With their big whiff in FA, Sewell is a foregone conclusion if he is there, and if Sewell is gone, it'll be a trade back and one of Darrisaw/Slater/Cosmi.  If they don't go with Chase in rd 1, then Bateman would be a steal in rd 2.  Higgins/Bateman would be a very nice combo for Burrow for the next 3+ years with Tyler Boyd working in the slot.  Not as good as Chase/Higgins, but still good.

If the Browns see Ojulari as a fit in our system--measured about 6'2/252--these first two rounds look solid 👌. You listed Ojulari as an LB. Do you not have him playing DE in our base nickel/dime? The players both fit our drafting style and are at positions of highest need. I'm a Stokes fan as well in that #59 spot.
