Why has the AFC South only produced two AFC Super Bowl representatives in the past 15 years?

AFCS didn't become garbage until 2013. Jaguars were respectable for much of the 00s and the Titans were very from before the turn of the century up until their last hurrah under Fisher in 08. Right as the Jags and Titans began to fade out, the Texans had their best years with Foster leading the way. They have had as bad a 4 or 5 year stretch as any division lately though.

For the question specifically, it has more to do with Brady and the Pats than anything with the AFCS. Meanwhile in the NFC there was no dynasty, so much more opportunity for other teams to rise up. I believe only the Cowboys, Vikings, Redskins and Lions out of the NFC have failed to make a SB appearance this century.
