Bold prediction: Bron to the Celtics

The Celtics are the only team in the league that Lebron can't go to. No way he loses the finals and then goes back to Kyrie Irving. There is no way his ego could handle that. no way.

celtics could move the PG with knee issues that is due a 150m+ deal

The celtics would have to trade away the entire team to sign him outright. To get him in a sign and trade, they would have to get rid of several guys and send Kyrie to a 3rd team. even if they sent Kyrie back to Cleveland, they would need to add 2 more guys to it. the math is really really hard. and you are left with at best Lebron/Hayward/Horford and maybe you find a way to keep Tatum.

basically by running off Kyrie, Lebron screwed himself over. The cavs cant build anything, and there are very few teams with a legit chance to make cap space and still keep a roster good enough to challenge Golden State. The warriors have been built to have a sustained run because Durant has twice taken discounts, Curry signs a small deal after his rookie contract, and it seems like Thompson will take a discount as well. If guys want to form super teams, they will have to take Durant's lead and take discounts. But I dont blame Lebron for wanting his money. He already took a discount once to form a super team.

The most realistic set up is Lebron opting into his deal and the cavs doing a trade. And that trade needs to be to Housotn, which can possibly front a 4th quarter line up of CP3/Gordon/Harden/Lebron/Capela and replace Capela with Ariza if they need to go small. or CP3/Harden/Lebron/Tucker or Capela

its probably Lebron's only chance to win next year.

Antoine Walker was the first to call this. Said this last week.

But lets be real, it's not happening. It's going to be Cleveland/Philly/LA.

It'd be super easy honestly.

Celtics get - Lebron James

3rd team gets - Kyrie Irving

Cavs get - Assets from 3rd team

It's actually the best case scenario because they'd get way more value from a team trading for Kyrie Irving than they would a team like Houston or Boston having Lebron force Cleveland to S&T him there for a couple late 1sts. I don't think it'll happen but its probably Lebron's best choice if he wants to explore it. Stay in the East, finally have a great Head Coach and be surrounded by a lot of talent.
