SaveOurSonics
Great example of why paying up for middling talent in free agency is bad business (referring to Miami, not New England).

Is KVN middling? He plays hard, makes some good plays while playing as a playmaker.

Hunter2_1
Yeah, he's middling. BB uses him well, of course, so I welcome him. But he's middling
Split the Sticks
Remember how BB got him? He was on the bench for the Lions. Now look at him, $13 Mill / 2 years
Apparition
KVN is kind of the Platonic ideal of a Belichick defensive player. He does a couple of things really well but is average to below average in all other areas. But his enthusiasm for football and willingness to play strictly to his strengths is what makes him successful.
SaveOurSonics
So we all agree he's middling? It's not some slight. He's just not an upper-echelon LB. I'm surprised that statement got any resistance.

goldfishwars
He's more valuable to the Patriots than in many other schemes.
