I can def try to keep up and take a look and give input. But between work and my "new" house projects that I gotta get into I don't want to make any promises

Just pop in here and there. I'm steering the ship, so I'm definitely make sure this is gonna run well. But we'll make sure to get everyone's input.

Mine would be

Trevor Lawrence
Penei Sewell
Patrick Surtain
Micah Parsons
Justin Fields

If were not counting Lawrence then add Wilson to the bottom of the list i guess.

i get player rankings but it seems fairly likely Ryan (and by extent Julio) will be on the team for the next three years and trying to compete. With that said...

1. Trade down and pass rusher (Likely Rousseau) or heck, just Rousseau.

2. Patrick Surtain Jr

3. Micah Parsons

4. Penei Sewell

5. Caleb Farley

We're fairly split as a war room, but it looks like:

Sewell

Surtain

And then everyone else. I'm believing the top two guys will be QBs in this draft. So it looks like it will probably be between those two come draft day on here.

Rousseau isn't really a great fit for what Pees wants to do with the defense though. Base is looking more like a 3-4 or a 3-3-5 nickel. So it doesn't really make sense to take a pure 4-3 DE that high. I am trying to get a trade down and don't mind hte idea of a pass rusher. Parsons makes a lot of sense to me. Paye, not so much. OL could work too whether it's Slater or Sewell or Alijah Vera-Tucker.

I mean, do defensive fronts exist anymore? Teams are in nickel 75%ish of the time i think, if you want to say Rousseau up and call him a lb I wouldn’t mind.

if we want to compete, and it appears with Ryan’s restructure that we do, we need to fix the defense. Rousseau is the best pass rusher IMO, so fig we draft him we can just figure out the scheme later. It’s not like our existing guys are made for a 3-4 either.

Honestly, after going back and doing film studies, Azeez Ojulari is a much better fit for the defense than Rousseau is. He's also a better player and pass rusher. I agree we need pass rush. I just don't agree that Rousseau is the right guy.

That being said, we have pieces for the 3-4. Some fit better in the 3-4 looks we'll see.

DEs: Grady Jarrett, Marlon Davidson, John Cominsky

NTs: Tyeler Davison, Deadrin Senat

OLBs: Fowler, Copeland, Mingo, Walker (THIS IS A NEED)

ILBs: Foye, Jones, Walker, Robinson

So there's guys that fit the front and where they fit. I agree that there really isn't a true 3-4 vs. 4-3 anymore. But I'm just saying that with Pees, we'll see some interesting (even some 5-1-5 looking sets with standing ends) looks.

so in real life, Atlanta should be calling Carolina to take their pick, right? Miamis at 6 now, and theres a chance they are going after a QB.

Why would Miami go QB after trading down? That doesn't make sense.

Maybe they have fields and lance even and don’t care which? Like I said, it’s only a chance they’d take a qb, I’d assume the more likely partner if we trade down is Denver.
