Trentwannabe Posted April 4, 2021 Share Posted April 4, 2021 It is always a great and easy day when the highest player on your board stands out above the rest and happens to fit a need. This person maybe disappointed at the Senior Bowl a bit and potentially has a hamstring injury right now after their pro day, but they are talented individual who gets after the QB. Buffalo needs to get much younger at DE with just AJ Epenesa younger than 27 at the position and the two current entrenched starters 33 or older. This pick will have the chance to work into the DE rotation as a rookie and hopefully by next year after a year in an NFL weight room to help with his lean frame, can man the starting role opposite of Epenesa for years to come. Sewell's first round "fall" took that option off the table with Pick #7, but Eskridge is a guy that our staff has liked from the beginning. We expect him to see time in the slot with Michael Gallup and Tyrell Williams striking fear into opposing cornerbacks on the outside. (As an added bonus: he has experience playing CB, and we need those too.)
