But if a team wants a young OT on a rookie deal, I’d listen. Teams like the Colts or Chiefs who will miss out on those top tackles might want to call on him. Seems like an even deal both teams get rid of a player in a more crowded room and get back a player at a position they need more. But like I said, are we trying to get better for this year (which irl all of us seem to agree won’t be the case) or are we trying to build foundations for 2022 and beyond. If it’s the latter I’d say we can do better than a guy who’ll be gone in a year. Other contending teams will be interested in adding Ertz. If it’s the first one, yeah getting a quick younger slot is a nice add. I’d probably go with like a Cade Johnson in the draft day 3 for that...but it’s an upgrade.
