If we are up again soon

Our haul so far

1.12- Micah Parsons LB PSU

1.26- Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota

3.70- Kelvin Joseph CB Kentucky

3.85- Alim McNeil DT NC State

5.151- Ambry Thomas CB Michigan

Pretty solid. This team has so many needs it is hard to hit them all. Looking back Horn at 12 and Cox, Browning or Surratt at 70 would be prefered. Losing those 4ths in the Bateman trade sucked but I'd do that again still.

Do we still have the second fifth? If so, I gotta vote for David Moore grambling.

Nah. Parsons should be leading candidate for DROY, probably by a long shot, and as we just saw with Okudah- Kelvin Joseph might be just as good as a rookie as Horn/Surtain. CB is so hit or miss. LB is much safer/projectable for a team that HAS to hit on this 1st round pick, and Parsons is a chess piece for a creative DC.
Bottom line: 1st round LB's bust much less often than 1st round CB's (This is pure assumption, but I'm almost positive it's true) and Parsons is the best MLB prospect to come around since Fletcher Cox was a rookie.

Devin White went 5th overall. Devin Bush went 10th. Roquan went 8th. Parsons poops on them as a prospect, and you got him 12th. I pray we do the exact same (but know we wont) if Devonta isn't there. Even if DeVonta is still there at 12, I wouldn't be mad taking Parsons over him.

It does feel like that yeah, bigger sample size. I think corner is a skillset that doesn’t ever really carry through the draft though. So come the real draft I’d probably push for a corner harder.

First big bust that comes to mind was Aaron Curry, remember he was the can’t miss guy that year and he was gone pretty quick. He went like top 5 too.

This chart says that more than double the corners were taken from 2007-2017, pretty big drops after round one.

9 picks until us.

TE Kenny Yeboah is still on the board and is sticking way out for me. If he is there, I am taking him. You can't talk me out of it...haha. Executive power....

If he is gone, here are other players available that are high on my board

Dazz Newsome WR

Victor Dimikjuie DE

Tony Fields LB

Derrick Barnes LB

Marlon Williams WR

Fields

Victor does fit the Howie mold of DE tho.

Fields is real valuable on the board right now, but Parsons, Singleton and Wilson plus the two guys drafted last year. Adding another LB seems a bit like overkill
