He's definitely better than the guy who was slated to be our CB2 as of yesterday. King knows that teams are going to avoid Alexander and target either him or Sullivan on just about every pass play every Sunday, and for the most part he holds up well, playoff blunder aside

So... statistics disagree with this.  He routinely allows some of the highest %s of passes completed against him. Advanced metrics say he’s a below average corner, and depending you deep you think the talent pool is league wide, you could even call him well below average.

He issue is availability. He's constantly dinged up, including in the NFCCG where he hurt his back in practice like a day or two before the game. Could, in part, explain his performance - but it's still not an excuse because he's CONSTANTLY injured. Hopefully they structured this deal so it scales with availability in per game bonuses or something.
