You know what's interesting. Take the first 4 years of Flacco's career when the narrative is that he was carried by his defense.

  • Top 10 D all 4 years, top 5 for 3 or 4 of the 4  (3 10)

Now compare the first 5 years when Dalton was just this great young QB doing it all by himself. (until some tragedy out of his control happened in the playoffs each year)

  • Top 10 D 4 times in 5 years, 1 or 2 of which were top 5 (2 11)

Flacco won a Super Bowl with his arm and from 2010-2014 was one of the all-time great NFL playoff QBs with 24 TDs to 2 picks.

  • He basically went toe to toe with Brady and Belichick 3 times. (all 3 in NE)
  • Dalton has gone 24-40-1 with an 86.5 rating since he was not carried by his D.

One guy is a joke (Flacco) while the other guy has a strange cult following. (National media and parrot fans who just say what they hear on TV)

Neither is a starting quality QB, least of all at this stage of their careers.

Still better than any QB on Philly's roster tho.

He's a proven loser.

On 7 different teams a loser and a mediocrity in Houston.

He's a 39 at Thanksgiving and somehow this will magically be the year for him.

I have no idea what Hurts is yet and neither do you.

I'd rather go with Heinicke for 16 and find out then Fitz for 16 and already know.
