Chiefs ink former Seahawks DT Jarran Reed to 1 year, $7M deal ($5M guarenteed)

This is a very big deal. I have no idea why the Seahawks cut a DT with 51 QB hits and 21 sacks in his last 46 games the last 3 years (counting playoffs)

  • There may be 15 DTs in the entire league who can get pressure like that.
  • Fletcher Cox has 55 and 20 1/2 in his last 50 and you sure are not getting him for 5 million a year because some idiot cut him.
  • Chris Jones has 80 and 31 in his last 51 games and he is worth his 20 million a year.

With Clark, Reed, and Jones as 3 of 4 up front, I'd be jumping at the chance to play a year and chase a ring if I was Justin Houston, Clowney, Kerrigan, or Ingram.

I'd unretire and play with my brother if I was Chris Long and they'd have me.

The rich get richer. I'm feeling a 15-1 season and vengeful championship run.

Great move by the chiefs. Really dont get why the seahawks let their best interior lineman go

They had a couple younger guys that they thought could fill in his shoes, but had nothing on the edge. So they cut Reed and used the money to bring back Dunlap.

Works out well for KC, they have a pretty formidable defensive line.
