animaltested 1,725
Probably cut's Tylers 15 million 2021 cap quite a bit, freeing up more money for another move or two. Id imagine the bulk of the 37 guaranteed is in 22 and 23, leaving 2024 the out.

SkippyX 2,508
So 17.3 a year for Tyler Lockett? His averages the last 2 years are 1066 yards 9 TDs and 11.6, with an elite QB. The 9 TDs is great (10 last year). The 1066 is like 14th to 17th range. The 11.6 is like 70-80th. He's a very good 2 with DK as the 1. He did have a very nice 2018 before DK (965 10 16.9) Are they going to give DK 26 a year? 1102 yards 15.6 per catch 8.5 TDs. (his rookie year was 900 7 and 15.5 and his first non-rookie year was 1303 15.7 and 10) The 1303 was 7th and the 15.7 was 11th. The 10 TDs was T-8th with Lockett. BobbyPhil1781 1,712
They gonna have some expensive WRs in a couple years.
Danger 6,094
Metcalf's gonna get at least 20M per.
Kampfgeist 98
Davante Adams is going to reset the WR market soon for guys like DK Metcalf. It's going to be an astronomical sum and it's going to be worth every penny (I keep repeating the last part to myself)

With an extension, 2023 would be the first bump up in $ for DK. In 2024 both DK's and Tyler's extensions will align with big cap hits. But Tyler's extension enters the final year in 2025, so presumably Seattle would have an out there or around. BUT Russ is not currently under contract for 2024.... so hmmm. At DK's rate by 2023 he'll be a top 3 WR in the NFL, so yes.

Well worth it. They have time to figure it all out by the time DK gets his big time pay day
Tetsujin 723
Lockett is my favorite WR.
43M 5,421
Lockett is a good player, and I get that players salaries are going to increase decently the next few years due to the addition of a 17th game and essentially two extra playoff games.....but I still cant help but question this move. Thats a pretty hefty payday for a guy who isnt a number 1 WR and has never put up big numbers. Doesnt matter. Numbers are going to jump even higher over the next several years.
